Previously...on LOST!

Well, I caught up tonight, the seventh episode, the Ben one, was pretty good although I don't like this new pathetic Ben. But the new episode that came on tonight was pretty much horseshit. Boring, and nothing big or shocking happened. So Widmore's there, we knew that. Ugly Claire tries to kill Kate, saw that coming. And we find out a little more about the man in black/locke. He had Mommy issues. :( Oh for fuck's sake.

This alternate shit has to be going somewhere but right now its just fucking dull. One thing I think their making pretty clear is overall people's lives would have been better without Jacob pushing them along. Plays into my idea that Jacob maybe isn't really good or altogether good. But fake Locke doesn't seem like an angel either.

One thing I thought was interesting from the seventh episode, and Richard stuff was why it was good pretty much, was Richard talking about how his not aging or immortality, whatever was given by Jacob and it was cause he "touched" him. Jacob touched all the candidates so now are they immortal or something?

well maybe it wasn't that bad, at least Sawyer is trying to fuck people over.

They've all been good episodes in themselves... but come on!... it's the last fucking season! time to move it along and start answering some fucking questions... they still just seem to be adding more than they answer.

It's just ridiculous now, it's quite obviously not nearly as clever an ending (or indeed story) as everyone thought it was and for that I loathe it but simply have to see it through given the hours I've put in to date.

I've loved this season so far. This past weeks episode, the sawyer centric one, was great. Things seem to start progressing, and there was no introduction of a character who you know knows a ton of shit and then they die, or they don't say anything. We know why widemores there, and finally there are no more secrets developing. hopefully we start to get answers and make sense of everything, now.

I don't think the altnernate reality is shit, but i do think it takes up too much of the episode and what we really want to see, but i can see how it makes sense to develop those things. Each of the characters are deviating from what they became on the island, and possibly before the plane crash. Recently, we saw that Sawyer became a cop and was using his con stuff to his advantage to catch other cons. Previously we saw Ben save his dads life by giving him oxygen vs killing him.

but i still can't stop thinking about the ending. Either the alternate reality (if the plane didn't crash) is the 'truth' and everything we watched over the years is just useless OR the alternate reality isn't really whta turns out to happen and half of each episode of this season was wasted. I don't see any other option.

I said that alternate reality is showing their lives turning out better (obviously could be a twist)

Roll on the end. The certain disappointment.

Fuck I have been waiting a while for a Richard episode. That is one of the things that has kept me watching. Some parts of the end I'm not sure about but for fuck's sake at this point why would I be bothered by Richard's Patrick Swayze Ghost moment. The show's obviously bat shit crazy, what's the difference.

I'm not totally sure about this MIB wants to leave and spread evil shit. Hopefully its a bit more complex than that. And if he leaves "we all go to hell." What?

I am glad that its apparently not hell. I don't like that idea.

Still have no idea what or who Jacob is (or the other guy really)? He can't absolve Richard's sins but he can grant him immortality :confused:

Over all, definitely a lot better than last week, had some issues with it but more like the kind of episode that I was expecting to get in the final season.

The boat destroyed the statue? Really?

Besides all the bullshit theories who are the best actors on Lost?

I thought the Desmond episode was good. Last night's was ok. The explanation for the whispers kind of pissed me off. Maybe it was cause the acting during that scene from Michael and Hurley was just so incredibly awful.

I don't know, maybe he kills Locke in that timeline and it kills him on the island, I don't know, something absurd I'm sure. Bears, etc.

Episode 15 is the major Jacob/Smoke Monster back story episode, if that sucks then I've wasted a lot of free time on this show.

I'm starting to think I've wasted 6 years avidly watching this show. Some are kidding themselves that this last series is great but for me it's the worst by some margin! They better not fuck up Locke's ending - they need proper closure for such a great character. Surely we didn't see his end when Ben strangled him. That would be cheap.

Was he lying when he told Jack/Saywer that he can kill them? If not why don't he just kill them if that's what he wanted?

How come Sayid seemed to soften from that killer trance he was in? Did that happen when he didn't kill Desmond?

If Smokey/Locke can't kill the candidates why not kill Kate in that temple killing spree thingy?

I'm not really sure what the deal with Sayid was this whole season and I've gotta think that he must have kind of thought WTF too. But yeah I assume him not killing Desmond was I guess them saying it was still kind of Sayid. But the whole thing was just not very well explained.

But yeah the one where Sayid and Jin and Sun died was the last one. I said something about the island being racist but I edited it out cause it might have seemed like a spoiler.

I don't think he can kill them. Otherwise none of it makes sense.

Mainly though I'll just answer I don't know to most of your questions. Every once in a while I'll check in with the crazies on that lostapedia site to try to figure something out and it just confuses me more.

The next episode is the series maker or breaker (I mean I don't know if there's any way the show realizes the potential of the 1st and 2nd seasons but it could still make or break the show to some degree.) Its the Jacob/Smoke Monster episode.

The producers said once that when we find out who "Adam and Eve" were that it would be clear they had this in mind from the start. I'm not sure about that.

Although I do think they probably had some general idea all along.

The Wine=immortality thing pissed me off. Its not like I expect a logical answer for why they're immortal but I expect something better than he drank the secret potion.

The whole show is so fucking confusing they will need another 12 part 'Lost Revealed' series just to explain it.

I forgot about that adam and eve shit. So the big reveal was some random island living mum killed the real mum, stole the twins and smokey went down the wishing well

Well I thought that was pretty entertaining. I guess all you can hope for now is a relatively coherent ending. Sunday will be 2 and a half hours so pretty much a Lost movie.

last episode being shown in UK at same time as USA 5am on Monday morning - so I will be getting up at stupid o'clock to see it.

It's that confusing I can't even guess whats going to happen - all to do with some stupid fucking light it seems.

Maybe it's the brief case from Pulp Fiction that is in that cave ?

Seems weird that its almost over, 20 minutes left. I mean it doesn't really make sense but still. After not watching tv for like a decade (besides sports, news, stuff like that) this and Arrested Development were the shows that got me back into watching tv.

so well I guess t hey weren't dead the whole time, because the Hurley/Ben thing about how he was a good number one, good number two, etc. The island timeline was real and they all just went to the alt after they died, Hurley and Ben after they stayed on the island for a while.

I like that a bit better. Still, I don't like the alt timeline, light flashes as they now make their way to heaven shit.

And LOL I'm not sure that answered anything. Total make it up as they go job. Entertaining but just amazingly incoherent.
