The top fighters with jabs who wont just stand there will give Joshua nightmares.
What do I think of his performance? Probably more that what you think of Tyson beating Wladimir Klitschko;D
I said at the time , it was a great performance from Fury, far exceeding my expectations, and special mention to Peter Fury for devising the gameplan and Tyson for having the discipline to go through with it.
Obviously I felt Wlad was a disgrace and was very poor on the night (you'll say that was because Tyson wouldn't let him fight and that's fair comment.)
So, what did you think of AJ's Performance?

Yeah their " explosive power" really helped them...
Joshua will be in trouble against anyone with a jab who can (will) move. Bruno Jr.
Hughie Fury will go on to prove himself better than Joshua.
Joshua isn't an old man terrified of getting hit. Fury doesn't have the power to keep away from him, in fact we know that for a fact as Fury admitted AJ bashed him up before in sparring.
The other four guys I mentioned could knock Joshua out with one shot. That's the difference.

Fury out boxes AJ with ease at this moment in time.
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
thing is AJ is an Olympic gold medallist, you'd have to give him a good chance of landing a punch or two
can fury take the power?
is furys power enough to discourage AJ?

I think no one can take AJ's power so Fury will not stand and trade with him.
Fury has height and reach advantages so will try and out box him.
AJ is also static and little head movement so will get out boxed.
AJ has never gone the distance so psychologically he would fight slower to ensure he has enough energy to see the fight to the end.
Right now Fury would be favourite.
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
I don't know how impressive that actually was. Martin didn't look any better than some of the tomato cans Joshua has knocked out previously.
It's ridiculous that his first proper test is going to be when he's defending a belt. I hope they haven't rushed him and that the IBF are amenable to a few quid to give him soft mandatories for a while. Chisora sounds like a decent option for his next fight. Not much power to worry about but you know he comes to fight.
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
Am watching Nigel Benn's son now. I hope he's got a hell of a chin on him.

He has Nigel's fighting style and has some head movement but not the power. The left hook to the body was a touch of class. Not bad for a debut fight and the dance with his old man was good.
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
Fury outboxes AJ with ease? Until about 60 seconds into the fight when he gets smashed in the mouth.
Power, speed, timing, ramrod jab, can fight on the inside, punch output, fearless.
Fury is a better singer.

AJ has power but not the speed to catch Fury, who would not be stupid enough to try and trade with him.
Fury would try and take him to the later rounds and stop him.

Exactly how fast do you need to be to chin a man who took 20 odd rounds to see off Fat John?
Fury gets all the credit in the World for beating Wladimir, but the suggestion from some (not just here) that he has now become this masterful boxer who will do what he pleases with whom he pleases and is head and shoulders above the competition is to me, frankly as ludicrous as labelling Joshua the second coming after chinning Martin.
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
Im reading thease last few comments and its like De Ja Vu.
What will Fury do when he gets hit by a big right hand? Same as he did when Klitschko caught him, fight back.
Took 20 rounds to beat fat John? Could that man beat a defending all time great with a huge punch in his own country? Oh yeah he did!;D
Joshua beat Fury up in sparring? Thats what Fury said at the time being kind. Joshua later said Fury was too rough for him. James Ali Bashir said Joshua was useless in sparring with Wladimir and had to tell him to try and fight back more or hes just going to get beaten up and sent home. Wladimir didnt want to spar Tyson.
Power soeed timing etc from Joshua. Against who? He looked shit against Whyte bar the knockout. Martin stood there static like an idiot.
He won Olympic gold? He was gifted it and was getting outboxed!
I will again have the last laugh (If matchroom are actually believing their own hype and try to make the fight) and you will all again sulk when I revel in it;D
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
Fury is a masterful boxer.
AJ is a powerful puncher.
facts
Re: Joshua vs Martin -- Plus Undercard.
The idea that beating Wlad means Fury is unbeatable is beyond absurd. We're back to Buster Douglas.
There are currently several heavyweights that could potentially beat Fury and AJ.
