boris was great at exposing the lies they were telling you
This was not difficult to predict. He's been sacked from dishonesty from every job he's ever had and they were almost all journalism jobs where he was one of the favoured people of the newspaper owner in a situation where unless you basically break the law you'll stay in your job. In a job that requires standards and is endlessly scutinised it was only a matter of time.
The whole Boris shitshow was almost worth it because it led to this:

A thing of beauty. Makes you proud to be British.
Boris was the one exposing us to his lies. He only won the election because of Brexit and slowly his incompetence has been exposed which has led to this humiliating resignation. Even now he is in denial and wants to stay for another 3 months so he can have a wedding party for himself.
boris reminds me very much of jimmy savile
You know after two weeks of Truss we'll miss Boris a lot......
Boris Johnson deliberately scuttled a potential peace deal back in March or April of 2022 between Russia and the Ukraine
The tentative deal was the result of in-person peace talks Russian and Ukrainian officials held in Istanbul at the end of March. Virtual talks resumed after the meeting in Istanbul, but the two sides ultimately failed to reach a deal.
A major factor in the failed negotiated settlement was pressure from the West. According to a report from Ukrainska Pravda, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to stop negotiating with Russia when he visited Kyiv on April 9.
According to the report, Johnson told Zelensky that even if Ukraine is ready to sign some agreements on guarantees with Putin, Kyiv’s Western backers are not. The report said that Russia was ready for a meeting between Putin and Zelensky on the potential peace deal, but it became less likely after Johnson’s visit.
Johnson appeared to confirm the Ukrainska Pravda report when he told French President Emmanuel Macron in May that he “urged” Ukraine not to negotiate during his visit to Kyiv. The British leader, who is due to step down in September, visited Kyiv one last time as prime minister in August and again told the Ukrainians not to negotiate with Russia.
Have you noticed how each successive Tory PM is worse than their predecessor?
Call Me Dave > Strong & Stable > Bozo The Clown > Poundshop Margaret Thatcher!
It's almost as if they're disevolving!
The above video has absolutely fuck all to do with Johnson, just more knuckle dragging racist propaganda from the resident troll.
Going,
Going,
“Should Boris Resign?”
Give the prick a chance, he hasn’t even been voted in yet? ;D;D;D
Boris cut short his holiday, where he has been earning hundreds of thousands of pounds doing talks on the US circuit, to try and see if he could become Prime minister. Hoping people will forget he was kicked out 6 weeks ago for lies and incompetence.
Finding out Sunak will not roll over and allow Boris to become leader he leaves with his tail between his legs again with no ounce of remorse or shame.
Watching the Tories in government self-destructing with this pantomime should tell the electorate that the only people they serve is themselves.
See what gets me about all this business is that the tories are calling Liz Truss a sack of shit and hounding her out after 44 days.
But 6 weeks ago, who was it that chose her as a CLEAR winner of the leadership contest and decided that she was the way forward? Answer , the same people that chose Boris after hounding Theresa May out of power.
Not the people, but The Conservative Party! They chose our Prime Minister yet again, and now they will choose a guy who they CLEARLY didn’t think was the man for the job 6 weeks ago.
These saps have proved that they can’t pick their noses, so surely now, it is up to the public to decide who leads and runs the country!

Like I pointed out in the Trump thread the whole tax cut/deregulation stuff has an unbroken forty year record of failure. Yet a bunch of ideologues in Britain decided it was the answer. It won't stop them trying here though.
This explains it a little:

This is interesting. We're not going to see an IMF bailout but it's going to become increasingly obvious that Britain should rejoin the single market at least. It could be a massive votewinner for Labour in time for the next election.
