It makes you wonder if they even gave him a sparring partner with lateral movement. he was like a fish out of water in there.
Exactly.. Hell the should have employed Mayweather for a few days to spar with him.. He was just shaken up by the movement from the 1st round and that was it... Never really got back into the fight after the first 30 seconds..

Wonderfull The old dog wins ;D.
Ill be on Roys side when it does happen, always go the underdog.

This has given me more hope of RJJ beating Joe Calzaghe.

The entire fight, Bernard had Pavlik out of position. Pavlik was just way to slow to catch up to him. I changed my prediction earlier this week when I heard about Pav going for the knockout. It was a shitty plan and I knew it would not work.
I am not sure Pav can even recover from a one sided loss like that. If it was close, he could bounce back. I never seen him even land one solid punch.
Props to Bernard for coming to fight this time around. He had a spark in him tonight big time.

I think that Joe both on paper & physically will have a lot more influence & say on the out come of the RJJ fight than what Kelly Pavlic has had in his fight tonight with B-Hop ... Ive been catching up through the thread here as I aint seen the fight yet...fair play to B-Hop for being exceptional in his performance tonight & managing to turn the clock back .....
But don't forget that styles make fights .... & equally they can ruin them too, I really wanted Pav to win too but always fancied he may just be too one dimentional & may be lack a little imagination to cope with Hopkins..
Though I did hope Id be wrong & thought Hopkins could possibly lose the fight with his antics & possibly his work rate as opposed to Pavlic actually bossing him ...
How many times do we see the change of natural weight divisions with Boxers end in tears..Sob Sob!!

Pavlik look beaten, dejected and understood on what just happened to him
You said it!! What was all that stuff at the end about, Pavlik's people looked really pissed. Maybe they didn't like the way Hopkins used Pavlik's face like a speedbag in the last round?
Great performance, best fight I've seen in a long time.
