Torture list huh??? Thats a good one.. Pac torture Floyd;D

For once JT I can agree with you. I think Floyd has adapted, has gotten better over his career. I think he's very good, I just think Pacquiao is better, only time will tell. I hope they set something up soon. I really like Pacquiao's corner, I think Freddie Roach is by far the best trainer out there right now. When a round is over and the fighters are in the corner, lots of trainers will tell their fighter he's winning and just a big load of crap. Roach has always been right on target telling Pacquiao exactly what he needs to know. Manny is always in amazing condition even at 147 it seems. I feel so sorry for Roach with his Parkisons disease. Maybe it was just pre fight jitters that were making it worse but he was shaking pretty bad before the fight against Oscar. I dont know if there is a cure or something to help with Parkisons but I hope it doesnt progress with him. He's a good guy, I loved how he stood over Oscar getting his hands taped! Fantastico! As for you Spic, you remind me of a 9 year old kid who just started vocabulary in grade school and is trying out all the new words he learned for the day! Your posts sound like something Joe Calzaghe's dad would say! isfiaufiouafhauifuaihfuahfuhaufufuh! Keep working on that Vocabulary Spic! Oh and I've got a word of the day for you. I-R-R-E-L-E-V-A-N-T!
Spic & JT have written far more relevant things than you throughout this post, and have shown a far more consistent train of thought. You react to criticism of your posts as criticisms of Pacquiao which is not the case, and at times you appear to show a short-sighted approach to fighters' careers (such as other posts where you have cited Malignaggi as THE name that Hatton has beaten, whereas almost every boxing fan knows the real A-list fighter he has beaten was Tszyu).
You claim Gatti was not a worthy enough fighter to be on the list of notable opponents, fair enough, but you can't THEN talk about which of their respective opponents were HBO & PPV regulars. Carlos Baldomir may not be a great 'name' fighter but the fact is he was The Ring welterweight champion, whilst Diaz was WBC champ having not beaten a title-holder to get it. That's not saying Pac's cv is crap, everyone knows it's one of the best if not THE best about, just that you can't pick & choose to suit your favoured fighter. Try to keep some consistency, because whilst you may not agree with Spic & JT, the fact that they have been consistent in their arguments means that they are not the ones who seem like 9 year olds.
Also just as a note it's Parkinson's disease, not Parkisons, although agree with you about Roach.
I think when this whole debate started, it wouldnt have got heated on my part if you had respectfully stated your opinions like you just did... Except for the Spicoli rant, he's a real good dude, its just hard to see someone join the forum throw their muddy feet up on the coffee table and raiding the fridge... All of us paid are dues and you'll find if you tone it down a bit and stick around this place provides a measure of fun and comraderie
So lets start over..... Welcome To Saddos and have some positive rep ;)
I don't rant JT my man lol.Just don't do well with disrespectful button pushers slagging on long term established members as yourself or on fighters who have given everything inside of the ring. These types are a dime a dozen chief and clearly bent on an agenda as opposed to an actual conversation but big ups on you for taking the high road. The main page is not the place for tantrums and repetitive insults, this I can agree with.
Emmanual Stewart thought Oscar was going to come in at 160 lbs.. So did many of the experts when they bet on him, and HBO commentators before Manny started to win.... I bet that many of the people who bet on Oscar would have been terribly dissapointed seeing him at only 147 pounds on fight night, and maybe would not have been as quick to put their money on him...
Sure people still would have expected him to do well whatever his weight, considering he is ODLH.. He couldn't lose the weight like a younger fighter and then put it back on... To lose it, he had to genuinelly get in incredible shape, and actually brought his body down to a natural 147 lbs.. His camp said he was at that weight for weeks before the fight.. So he couldn't put the weight back on after the weighin because he would have just had to stuff his face with 10 kilo's of McDonals and a tonne of water, and would have been sluggish as shit..
If like a younger fighter, he came in at 147 lbs at weigh in, and was at 155 to 160 lbs on the night, it would have been more like the Commenators and experts thought it would be... Pac may still have one, true,,,, his speed was amazing and ODL was SHIT for lack of a better word,,,, but you gotta believe his weight issues were not what he or his camp would have wanted for the fight..
:twak:.....damn long Island Ice teas from last night still lingering brother. Thanks & respect. Its a new year, time to turn a page Lol.Should be outstanding with much to look forward too.
Back to topic,I need to wait and see exactly what Mayweathers plans are but all indicators are pointing towards a showdown with Pacquiao. Not big on that one but leaning towards Mayweather in a big way.Just need to see what he is working with after layoff,Hand and footwork will be a daunting task for for an on rushing Pacquioa to over come, and no doubt...he will come in fierce.Pac should top out at 140 and do very well against Hatton.Hatton comes wide,Pac down the middle. That one will be great carnage.Alot coming in 09.
are you guys still going at it? ;D
That was totally so last year
Happy New Years Fellas! Lets all try and get along :D
Is this thread still going?
I'm still saying Mayweather whups Pac lol
For crying out loud please stop critisizing my spelling! If you can understand what im saying then leave it at that. This may sound stupid but im gonna say it anyway. I love boxing and wrestling. I watch WWE all the time. My favorite wrestlers of all time are The Rock and Chris Jericho! The reason I like them is for the way they disrespect everyone else. I know in real life their good people but when their on TV their constantly bashing people and dishing out insults. I guess I have in a way ripped something off of them, lol my bad but its fun. The reason I dislike Mayweather is because he seems to be as big of a jerk out of buisiness as when he's selling tickets. I want him to be a jerk to sell tickets, but he's an all around jerk. Im sorry I just really want to see him lose. I think Pacquiao is a really good guy and a really good fighter, but its not Pacquiao's character thats gonna beat Mayweather to me, its his skills and heart. I wouldn't talk such a big game about Pacquiao if I didn't think he could back it up. I'll have to admit I dont get the whole "earn my respect around here" stuff. I thought being a big fan of boxing and watching it my entire life did that? But hey maybe thats the WWE in me, lol!
It's been said before, this place is the best around to talk boxing. There are a bunch of people who come in here, run their mouth, and not long after, are never seen again. Everyone does pay their dues, but good posts and debates, NOT ARGUMENTS, debates are well taken here.
A good amount of these guys are great people to talk boxing about, JT and Spicoli being two of those people, and if you like boxing as much as you say you do, this place will be worth your while.
BTW, I was a huge fan of the Rock!
Im gonna take pac in this one. The man is a beast. He is a freak of nature with a country on his back and he wont be denied.
