Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Masakaev and Sam Peter are both shot and finished
If they do fight, it should be their last

Oleg Maskaev should stay retired, I fear for his health. He's age 43 and has been KOed too many times.
He definitely shouldn't fight a big puncher like Sam Peter (even though Sam is past prime, he's not as badly shot as Oleg, and not as old).

Yeah, both are really putting their health in jeopardy by continuing, especially Maskaev
In all honesty they shouldn't even be cleared to fight ... but we just saw Hasim Rahman get in the ring a few weeks ago when he clearly shouldn't have been permitted to fight ...

Jonathan Banks says he's heard Vitali Klitschko may fight Alexander Povetkin next if he doesn't retire:
Тренер Кличко: Я слышал, что с Поветкиным будет драться Виталий
Mick Hennessey says he's willing to make a fight between Tyson Fury and one of the Klitschkos in the spring of 2013:
Промоутер Фьюри: Бой Тайсона с Кличко может состояться уже весной
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Sam Peter really under achieved IMO, I think he had the tools to be a very good fighter but weight gain, manager problems, not having his heart invested in boxing at times really hurt him. There were good fights out there for him at one time. I don't think he could ever beat either Klitschko brother but he gave it a good go all 3 times he tried.
Oleg Maskaev was one of those guys that just ran hot & cold like Andrew Golota. He was never consistent enough.

It will actually be a WBC semi-final eliminator, and the winner will not be Vitali's mandatory. The fight between Stiverne and Arreola will determine Vitali's mandatory. The winner of Fury-Johnson will be in the NEXT WBC final eliminator.
Stiverne-Austin was a WBC semi-final eliminator, now Stiverne is in a final eliminator.
Solis-Austin was a WBC final eliminator.

I like Stiverne, he can't box for shit but he packs a punch...I hope he and Arreola get down to business from the first round on!

Funny thing is I'd prefer to see Fury-Johnson (if it is Fury) versus the winner of Arreola-Stiverne.

I agree, that would be a good, competitive matchup.
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Vyacheslav Glazkov will fight Tor Hamer on the Adamek-Cunningham card on Dec 22. :)

Sorta off topic but will the Adamek-Cunningham card be on regular NBC or NBC sports? A few months back there was talk of Main Events getting a network tv slot in December.
