Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
Watched a proper nerdy breakdown video matching both fighters styles on youtube (surprisingly it was unbiased/very good, the Latino sounding geezer doing it definitely wasn't a kid) - Spence will kill Brook on the inside (unless he ties him up) but it also highlighted the firepower Spence will need to walk through to get where he wants, which includes Brook's bread and butter vicious uppercut when Spence does get there. Fascinating. Also highlighted Brook's superb distance/reflexes which allows him to pick fighters off, detonate the one-two.
And that's ignoring his genuine top world-class face buster jab.
Spence has never fought a big puncher. It's stretching it to pick out one incidence but Spence has been punched semi-drunk before, albeit briefly.
Brook KO is 5/1 in a place. Brook to score a knockdown is generally 5/2!!!
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
I think Brook can hurt him and have a feeling he'll win this by stoppage.

You have changed your opinion?

@Beanz - those bets are only offered as "specials" by certain bookmakers, you can't pick and choose, but for instance Paddy's have - Brook to score a knock down and win on pts @ 9/1 (obviously you'd lose if he won by stoppage after the knockdown)
or
Brook to be knocked down and win @ 7/1

Cheers other than the odd flutter on the gee gees not really bet anything but singles on the boxing. Will check out the specials.
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
For me this fight is all about if Spence is who many think he is. We know what Kell can do and we know Kell can beat what Spence has shown.
But many of us think there is more to Spence than he has shown. We've all seen 1000 destroyers meet resistance and come apart. Spence doesn't seem like that guy. The intelligence with how he answers how the KO came, it isn't "I'm fast and I hit hard" it is "we knew if I do....he would do.....". He's not a destroyer who destroys by just doing what he does. He is a destroyer because he recognizes what's happening.
All that said, he still could meet a jab and get stuck resetting all night. Hoping he is what many think he is, but more so hoping for a great fight.

And have done every few days for weeks now, it's a pick em fight but begining to think that the Golovkin loss was a blessing for Brook and might have seriously battle hardened him to the point that he can walk through any of the current Welterweights fearlessly to land his own punches.
On the other hand the beating Golovkin gave him could have scarred him for good.
Let's see on Saturday
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
I think Brook can and will stop him in 5th or 6th round
Looking forward to this one
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
The biggest question mark to me with big punchers and guys talked about as destroyers is will they fall in love with the power and do they have plan Bs and Cs. Going out on a limb and convinced Spence is full of composure under fire and will not fall into the roll of puncher seeking the boxer. Body work will be key for him vs Brook once he closes and he sure as shat better not stand too tall on Brooks jab. Spence by TKO for me. It's listed as "live" for Showtime in the States and hopefully that's the case.
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
It should be noted Kell looked massive next to Errol at the final presser. I didn't expect such a size difference this close to weigh in.
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
Both make weight. Both look ready to murder the other. Really looking forward to this.
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
Brook looks moody/edgy like he wants to kill him. Spence has a tremendous confidence about him like defeat is ridiculous to even contemplate.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is a three round job either way.
Re: Kell Brook v Errol Spence Jr - 27/5/17 Sheffield UK
Help me here guys, I'm trying to think of a more legitimate and globally important fight or fights to have happened in UK?
For example AJ vs Klitschko wouldn't qualify because Klit is past his best.
I mean 2 guys where either might be the best in their division, both are in their prime and the division is loaded with other big fights for the winner.
