He's domestic level, not world level like Anthony Joshua. I'd sooner see Joshua fight a fringe world contender like Chisora, Wach, Thompson or Whyte.
Looks like they tried to get him in v whyte but it never happened, I think it's a good plan for joshua to mop up the british rivals first as that will elevate him to a super star level in blighty like haye is.. Even if joshua is more active, if he fought haye now haye would be the big star, so if joshua establishes himself v british contenders he will be able to lure guys like chagaev and win the lesser wba belt.
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Hopefully whtye happens by the end of the year. Joshua is capable of fighting the better names, and from a fans perspective we wish he could be thrown into a tough challenge. But from a promoters perspective Hearn is doing the right thing, really do think that. He needs to learn from the mistakes an other heavyweight David Price. There's no reason to throw him in with a Wach or Thompson in this fight when there is still work to do on the domestic front.
If the whyte fight actually does happen by the end of the year then I really wouldn't complain at a 21-0 domestic level fighter. It's a good name to have on his record. Thankfully for Joshua he didn't pick Hughie Fury because that would have been a differnt story.
Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Whyte hasn't evolved as fast as Joshua in the pros with his PEDs suspension... don't think he will be any challenge... although he is a better fighter than Cornish

Re: Heavyweight Fight Schedule
Interesting heavyweight event in Germany next Saturday.
BoxRec - event
Ruslan Chagaev (33-2-1) vs. Francesco Pianeta (31-1-1) (WBA World HW title)
Michael Wallisch (14-0) vs. Fabio Tuiach (27-4) (WBO European HW title)
Tom Schwarz (12-0, age 21) vs. Konstantin Airich (21-11-2)
Edmund Gerber (24-2) - TBA
Apti Davtaev (8-0-1, age 26) - TBA
Alexander Dimitrenko (35-2) - TBA
Of all these, Tom Schwarz is possibly the best prospect. He's just age 21 and has looked very good in the fights I've seen.
