I agree that it's a possibility, but it's every bit as likey that PBF will be just too fast and too slick for a brave Ricky Hatton who just gets picked off all night long until a sympathetice referee puts an end to the massacre late on.
Remember what Mayweather did the unbeaten Coralles :o
Yes and we also remember what Castillo and Casamayor did to Corrales too.
Hatton has much faster foot work than Corrales who plods around the ring following his opponents untill he gets a big shot that puts him down.
Re: A strange piece from Hatton concerning PBF
I think hatton saw pbfs weakness against zab, maybe he figures floyd aint as fast on his feet as he used to be and maybe he could pressure him easie ???

When the fighter himself says he aint ready...& he has...TWICE...then he aint ready.
Period.
Rabid Hatton fans can disagree all they want...but he turned down the offer before...so he can wait in line till its his turn.
From a business point of view, he wasn't ready, from a fighting point of view he has been ready since 2004.

In the last year he has beaten kostya tszyu and unified his world title, signed with HBO, had court cases and changed his promotion team, who in their first joint promo have him fighting for a welterweight title, not much?

All hes done is beat tszyu. Stop acting like unifying against maussa is some huge thing. Maussa is a C+ fighter at best. And having promtional problems is no excuse for fighting 2 C-B level fighters in Maussa and Collazo.Face the facts for his first 38 fights he fought C level comp then stepped up and beat 1 A level figher(past his prime but not by much) now hes back to fighting C level comp. Then you want him to fight the winner of gatti/baldimor. Are you serious.I wonder did Vince Phillips get this kinda love for beating Tszyu. ???

:coolclick: Very well put MRMANICK.
Again...I just gotta stick to me guns & say that the verdict is still out with me regarding Hatton.
Re: A strange piece from Hatton concerning PBF
That's true...how well recieved was Phillips win over Tszyu seeing as I was not really a boxing fan then! Has it been more appreciated in hind sight?
