No cakewalk for either. Hatton would do what he always does and get some succes, just depends if he can withstand Oscar''s accurate punches and not get cut too badly.
I'd go for Hatton at 147, and de la Hoya at 154.

if the fight was made at light welterweight then i'd pick hatton, i dont think de la hoya could make that weight anymore though. but if the fight was at light midle then i'm picking oscar. dunno about welter yet. ltes see how ricky gets on at this weight.
When has Hatton slipped anything? Hatton would suffer the same fate as Gatti and MayorgaQuote:

After a very long layoff Felix Trinidad tee'd off on Mayorga all night! and look what Winky did to Trinidad.
Cory Spinks beat Mayorga
Mayorga was knocked out in his first ever fight, then lost twice in a row a couple of fights after that, his 35 years old and his DONE.
The only thing Mayorga was ever recognized for was knocking out Vernon forrest in the 2nd round (contraversial stoppage) smoking cigerettes and drinking beer!
My money would be on Ricky Hatton for sure.
even though hatton is my favourite fighter i still think that de la hoya would destroy him in the first round
as if he would destroy him in the first round. dont be daft. if oscar was to beat ricky it would be by cuts cos of oscars jab. i couldnt see oscar keeping up with the pace hatton would set. first round my arse.
INO Oscar would knock out Hatton, just too big and skilled, hatton's style is tailor made for Oscar
According to u, Hatton's style is talior made for everyone :P
Anyone who can talk about this fight as if it might really happen is on better crack than me (and what I'm holding is pretty good)
Every fight I've ever seen mentioned on this forum where the bout was absurd due to size difference it was immediately disregarded and not given another thought, why is this one so different?
Don't u feel like a :willydance: when u miss a topic and start a similar one!!! anyways...
I think this fight is a definate!! If Ricky destroy's Collazo then I think Ricky v Oscar is worth as much $$$ as Floyd v Oscar. Plus Hatton will have a belt.
I know I would much rather watch Hatton v Oscar than Mayweather!! Floyd and Oscar would be like watching grass grow!! Too technical for the viewers good!!
Exactly,Too big, strong and skillful for Hatton.I think hes the only one that can KO Hatton at the moment.Quote:

Oscar is getting old, but I don't think Hatton really wants to deal with Oscar. Oscar is quicker, stronger, and hits harder than Kostya. If Hatton could weather the storm, and drag the fight into late rounds, he might pull it off, but I doubt it. Not at the present moment anyway. A year from now, after Hatton is used to WW, and Oscar is even older, I'd probably pick Hatton.
Even I'd fight Oscar for 15-20 mil ;DQuote:

Oscar eats up preasure fighters. Kostya eats up slick boxers.
Thats why I'm quietly giving Kostya a shot against Mayweather if it happens 8)
