Agreed...but let me say this...the right hooks that Hopkins felled Mercado with were astonishing. Gotdam...that fwocker was insane with his KO ratio's back in the days.
People just don't know & people just fail to recognise the greatness because he was less glamorous than all the rest.
Re: Quickest or Biggest Knockouts
But the uppercut he hit Lipsey with had him in suspented animation. It's greatness, but a little sad, because Lipsey could have been something, but his career was ended with that single uppercut. I wouldn't wish what happened to Lipsey on any fighter. It's saddening, yes, more saddening then the Fresh Prince hair cut Hopkins was sporting ;D
Re: Quickest or Biggest Knockouts
Morrison Vs Mercer, Morrison Vs Ruddock, Tyson Vs Spinks, Foreman Vs Moorer and the list goes on.
Re: Quickest or Biggest Knockouts
Mercer nearly killed you duke. It proves you're a tough SOB to get up from that and not be seriously damaged. :coolclick: for getting up from that. Did you ever sue that ref for not stopping it sooner? ;)
Re: Quickest or Biggest Knockouts
You want a big brutal knock out. Look at Derrick Jefferson knocking out Maurice Harris. One of the sickest left hooks you'll ever see.
Re: Quickest or Biggest Knockouts
BARKLEY VS VAN HORN is impressive fair play to van horn 4 gettin up from the first left hook.
Re: Quickest or Biggest Knockouts
Julian Jackson icing Herol Graham after losing every minute of every round beforehand.
Graham was unconscious as soon as he was hit and fell down like he was dead. Scary KO.
Also, watching Trevor Berbick fall over three times when Tyson whacked him out.
