I like Kellerman...I really do.
Watching FNF's right now makes me realize that I loathe no one more than I do Atlas. Such a spot light whore. ::**

Atlas is probably my favorite commentator. I have a lot of respect for him, he tells it like it is and his knowledge is amazing. Larry Merchant is far and away the worst commentator I've ever heard. Can't stand him.
the only thing good about atlas is he has balls, he tells people to thier face what they dont wanna hear
merchant is the man anytime he is not talking about ODH mayweather or judah
Totally disagree...but that's what wer'e here for.Quote:

Both have a well of knowledge so deep that you could fish in it all day & never hit the fwockin bottom.
I don't know much abput american football but I love seeing this sort of thing happen to smartarse journalists who question sportmen's heart. IMO boxing journalists are some of the worst. They get carried away with the bravado and proximity to fighters and start believing that they are hardasses themselves
The only ones that should criticize a fighter's heart or publish insulting remarks are the ones who (a) have been fighters or (b) are prepared to take their chances if they meet the guy they shitcanned. I loved to hear about James Toney straightening out Michael Katz and Vince Phillips sorting out Doug Fisher. Should be more of it
Whoever started this post don't know what theyre talking about. IMO, Atlas and Kellerman are 2 of the most knowledgable commentators in the sport. They actually offer valueable insight for fight fans, not ridiculous monologues and personal theory like Merchant.
It's not hard to see who started a post, and Lyle (I'll save you the work) then goes on to see he likes both commentators, I think he was just using the example to make a point about Stephen A. and Jim Rome as many people moan about Kellerman and Merchant.Quote:

However over the last two years it seems someone has turned the lunatic dial up to hyper drive and locked it in place, he's unbearable now.
Smith is terrible. It's insulting that Stephen Smith and Stuart Scott do nothing but spout over-the-top cartoonish slang while Dan Patrick and friends speak in neat little professional midwestern serious journalist voices. ESPN's definitely got their target audience covered YOUKNOWWHATI"MSAYINDOG YEEEEAAAAAHHHH BOY-EEE! ::**
Well I started this and was I not right? Smith and Rome are WORSE than Kellerman and Atlas who some folks see as very obnoxious and opinionated.Quote:

Atlas does get on my nerves for nothing more than promoting his own fighters and talking shit about Wladimir Klitschko who would WRECK anyone he ever trained (fyi he only trained Tyson in the amatuers)
Kellerman is knowledgeable and insightful. A little less caffeine, and some deep breaths during commercials might make him a little less scary, tho. He comes off like boxing's answer to Dick Vitale.
Atlas is ok too. He certainly looks the part. If you can get past the disfigured face and the 15-inch scar that could land him a starting role in a prison movie, the guy actually has some useful things to say.
I didn't see ole Rome doing anything but fearing for his life....as for Atlas and Kellerman.....I like both of them and wish I could see more fights with Kellerman doing commentary on them.......Quote:
