The giant picks thread: Hatton Collazo

It is not a walk over, Hatton is going to have be very near his best to win this easy-ish.... if not, he was in for a very tough nights work.

I take Hatton to be near his best and win a TKO10, but you never know for sure, this is after all boxing, there are very, very few gimmes at the top level of the sport ;)

Some people might get mad but I'm goin with Collazo. Now don't think that I'm a hater because I'm not I just don't think hatton is as good as his fans think. If this kid collazo can take his punch he'll have a good chance in winning. I've seen collazo a couple of times and he ain't bad. I'm picking collazo cause I think hatton gonna have a harder time getting in than you think. This guy is a natural WW, his reach is 72 compared to hattons 65 and hes a southpaw. Those are the ingredients for trouble. If this kid has it mentally this could be a good fight. Collazo UD12

I saw an analyst on TV in Canada say almost the same thing... That Collazo could be a big spoiler with the reach and being a southpaw... Apparently Hatton has struggled with them in the past, plus there's the weight difference. But Collazo has been TKOEd before by a nobody, in 2002... I don't know anything about the fight it could mean a whole lot or absolutely nothing.. I guess we'll see what kind of punch the guy takes.. IF his chin holds up I pick Hatton but in a tough fight going the distance.. Maybe Collazo won't be able to take Ricky's punches though, I have no idea.

Yes he was tkoed earlier in his career by nobodies but so did Pac-man and we see how he turned out. Good luck to both and may the best man win.

watch for cuts.....this could be a TD in four........if not I think hatton has a good chance at stopping him.....we'll all get to see how Hatton appears to carry that extra weight to....but this is definitely not a must see fight by no means...unless they are showing the ODLH-Mayorga fight as well......had to get in another ODLH plug...

Yup, I'm going to go with the bookies and 95% of other posts and say Hatton by KO.

I reckon he'll be cautious early on, and that'll contribute to a KO in 8. ish.
