This is just gonna be a statement fight, a "this is why no one wants to fight me" fight.
Ricky said he wants 6 more fights and he's hanging up the gloves: Margarito, Floyd, Cotto, Mosley, De la Hoya, and Baldomir...I think that's his list

Fair post, and I pretty much agree.Quote:

Stupid posts like this annoy me. Ricky Hatton, at 40-0, with a CONVINCING win over reigning 140 kingpin Kostya Tszyu, is NOT overrated!!
Listen man an over the hill an uniterested kostya!!!! he needs another bigfight before I am convinced Dont get hung up on the name but the quality of opponent lets see what tonite has instore if he loses 2 nite who gives a shirt if he beat Tszyu plety of other young fighters in there prime he can take a shot atQuote:

It's not that I'm hating against Americans (here it comes....) but, most Americans are too inward looking and don't rate anyone who hasn't fought in America, and then when the rest of the world get the fights and make a joke of the American fighter, there's always someone who'll criticise the American for being over the hill/not preparing properly, rather than giving the foreign fighter the credit they deserve.
I love America, it is an amazing country, and I've been there more times than I can count and always love the people, but when it comes to boxing it's like a horse wearing blinkers.
*raises guard*
OK than name a UK Fighter that Hatton beat that can beat a top flight US fighter????????????Quote:

The point I was making was that in order to get a shot at one of the contenders in the US, a fighter from outside the US has to work twice as hard as someone who is American. Hatton had to beat Kostya Tzsyu before anyone in the states would even look at him, and Tzsyu was a proven fighter in the US. And now that Tzsyu lost, everyone's keen to point out that he was washed up and over the hill which is clearly just bs.
There just seems to be two divisions, one in the US, almost entirely of north/central American based fighters, and the rest of the World, and to have a pop at someone in the US side of the division, they've had to have wiped the floor with the RotW division.
lofty carter :D ;D ;D ;D :DQuote:
Collazo was 22-1 before he would attempt the lofty Carter.
Tyszu was not over the hill, it would of been the same result 3 years previous....you are making excuses now.Quote:

Hatton is the real thing. He is a dangerous fighter and he is willing to attempt to take on big names. So far though Hatton still only has 3 names on his resume....
Give him a little time and hopefully he will be able to answer all his doubters...
First he will destroy Collazo, then I want to see the winner of Gatti: Baldomir take on Hatton (would be great for exposure in the US).....and then we are in the realm of super fights....
HAHAHAHA even a brit said he had dirty tactics....i will stop there but come on people dont act like i was the only one who saw little innocent ricky doing ANYTHING he could to win ;)
ricky played it a little rough, thats all i can say! ;D :-XQuote:

Did anything to win even better than ruiz but then why not when the ref lets you hold and hit all night,
I would agree with Hatton though in that Collazo would give a lot of good fighters a lot of problems.
