Im sure hatton will get used to being a welterweight and change certain things in his style after last nights bout. Hats of to Collazo he was a good boxer, much better then i was expecting.

positive things I saw.
1. Could throw more punches if he didn't get tied up or did the tying himself, but he still has tremendous work rate.
2. He really gets power behind his hooks, and looks devastating to the body if he would have kept it up all night.
3. He has a fighter's heart which is as important as anything in the sport.
4. I believe he will make the most of what happened from the fight, and is smarter than most men who box, and will adapt better against the slick american boxers.
5. He has a the second best stamina I've seen out there still fighting.
Collazo's stamina was everybit as good as Hattons.....Remember it was hatton holding on at the end of the fight....
Yea it was hatton who was holding on, but it was also hatton who was tossing this naturally bigger guy around like he was a Rag Doll....
you obviously were not watching the fight...Collazo would push the brawler away...tattoo the brawlers face repeatedly....and then try to break free of the holding so he could repeat again....

to be honest i think he will perform better against better opposistion as his best fight was agaisnt his best opponant so far (tszyu) he may have thought tht collazo was an easy fight and underestimated him i dunno but he does need to work on alot before getting back in the ring

The main thing is STYLES MAKE FIGHTS!
Collazo was all wrong for Ricky but Ricky still pulled out the W. I think it was scored properly too.
Ricky would do MUCH better vs a Baldomir or Gatti type.
I still think he and Cotto need to fight, it would be AWESOME!!! I'm a Cotto fan but I would just love to see the fight no matter who won!!!

Hatton is down? 2 weight world champion and he's down? Taeth your not a hatton fan, you just say it to make your points seem more valid. It was an easy fight to score and the score was 115-112, Maybe collazo could have won the 3rd which makes it 114-113 to Hatton.

I like Hatton, he reminds me of Basillio and Fullmer in his style and his face.
One thing I know is if I'm PBF (or to a far lesser extent Zab Judah) I lick my chops at the thought of fighting Hatton now.
If I'm Hatton I bring my hands up just a tad and punch more on the inside and shorten up those shots. I think Hatton and Collazo need to rematch but I really would rather see Hatton fight Baldomir or Gatti or Cotto or JLC
