BOTTOM LINE: Hatton can NOT beat PBF!!

When has Hatton fought a PBF style fighter though? I mean Floyd has fought pressure fighters but Floyd's style is VERY different than anyone else in the division other than De la Hoya and even then there are big differences between them.

No one is as fast or defensivly slick as Floyd! Hatton's style is easier to mimick it's the intagibles that he brings that I think would be tough for Floyd to handle, also Cotto's style would be tough for him. The body is what will take down Floyd either that or a guy with a quick right cross

Did you watch last nights??? Hatton doesnt have to have you on the Ropes to smother you...He is ALWAYS in your face, he smothers you in the middle of the ring.....People who know nothing of hatton shouldnt be talking.

It was definitely Collazo. I hadn't seen him fight before last night. But I really did expect Hatton to walk through Collazo, causing the boxing public to beg for a Hatton vs PBF show down. Not so... Collazo handed out an ass whoopin' that Hatton will never forget, though he will wish he could. Collazo deserves credit for that performance.

To me... at 147lbs Hatton is just a prospect. I do not want to see him against DLH, PBF or Margarito right now. I'd like to see him fighting with the likes of Gatti, Baldomir, Cintron, hell Estrada would be interesting I think and very winnable for Hatton. Hatton needs to prove himself at this weight before I my mouth starts to water over PBF vs Hatton like it once was. At this point, I see PBF moving in and out, in and to the side, landing quick combinations each time.
I disagree. I don't think that it was just that it was a bad night... I think that maybe Collazo needs a bit of credit here.

One of two or three things needs to be taken into consideration...#1: Hatton started gassing out & his power fell off or #2: Collazo has one hell of a chin or #3: Hatton needs to be back @ 140 where he can dominate.

He's been troubled more than just once in 41 fights. That being said...he's still all good in the neighborhood...but he's got a lot to work on once he hits the established me @ 147 apparently. Hatton himself stated that it was Collazo...that he had prepared for war & what not & that his conditioning was fine. I just think that Collazo was that tricky.

I don't agree with the majority of haters on here though...last night isn't that damning...but I do feel that he didn't deserve the nod...either that or a draw.

Sorry but I can only say that for hatton right now. The verdict is still out for floyd. I say this cause floyd did have trouble with zab for a brief second then went on to look pretty good as oppose to hatton who barely survived under the power of a light-hitter and looked bad.Floyds skill can take him places in ww division that hattons can't. Floyd defense and offense will be able to carry him against those big hitters. I think hattons lack of defense will be his down fall not only at welter but at light welter too.

They have the same general style, slick, fast and accurate. Of course PBF is better, but it's the same general style. And Floyd hasn't fought any pressure fighter half as good as Hatton since Castillo where he first had real trouble. Hatton will rebound in the second fight much like PBF did in the second Castillo fight imo. I know us PBF fans hate the Castillo fight being brought up in regards to Hatton but it has to.

Hatton was all heart last night ;)

Last time Zab was seeing birds he came back and won a few rounds but still lost the decision. He showed his heart in the Baldomir fight.

Hatton showed last night that he can't go to plan B.

At least when Zab was hurt he stopped trying to use his standing lean trade and tried to box from the outside and pot shot Baldomir to try to bank rounds.

Hatton on the other hand did what he had done from round 1 and that is march forward. He never changed his gameplan.

He will show character if he gives Collazo a rematch

The difference is Floyd, after his only close and controversal win, gave Castillo a rematch to prove he was the man. It's just too bad Hatton doesn't have the cojones to do the same with Collazo.

...where have you been, Hatton said he's for a rematch.
