sounds like a wwe style joke to me, as if the heavyweight division isn't geting enough stick they now plan this as a comeback, 4 rounds, time outs for replays, 3 fights in one night
joke right

I think this is an excellant idea and being in Australia, Joe Mesi and oldtimers like Hollyfield can jump in the mix
They had something like this years ago. If you look up Tony Tubbs record I think he won that thing. Boxec has it in his record.
Well I do remember this stupid show bout 5 or 6 years back called "ThunderBox" and it was the shittest thing I had ever seen. From what I gathered Tim Witherspoon did quite well in it though.
4 rounds will serve the sluggers like Peter well. He doesn't need stamina in this thing. For four rounds he can just flail his arms like a wild man and hope something lands
True but it also favors a fight being declared a draw. One fighter could easily win two rounds and the other fighter win two rounds as well. Also all a boxer has to do is stay away from a puncher for four rounds and land pitter patt shots and he wins. I don't like the 4 round rule. It is pretty flawed IMO.Quote:

Also I had felt at that time that the whole event was designed to get Tyson and Tarver in the ring but seemingly not.
If Tyson was in it it would be interesting. As it is it seems virtually impossible for Sam Peter not to win since all he has to do is flay his arms around wildy for 12 minutes which I'm sure he can do.
Suprised Holyfield hasn't signed up for this.
That's false. There are no draws in the tournament.Quote:
