all the while though you never heard Benn or Eubank talking much crap back at Toney.....might that had been fear???....just asking....They are there surrounded by their fans in the audience and basically get punked by Toney.....one word comments mean jack....but Toney went on forever!!!!

Eubank looked terrified actually. To look at him you wouldv'e thought James was about to walk outta that TV screen and lay the smackdown on him.

Personally I don't think Benn really feared anyone. But he was certainly in no hurry to take on Toney. Those fights coulda been made - James wanted both of them really badly. Didn't come off. I don't think they were keen on it.

The whole thing was a sound bite, Eubank was playing to the camera and being weird as always, how would he scared of some mouthy pr1ck 3000 miles away

And I don't remember any offers being forthcoming from either side to make the fights, what makes you think that it was Benn or Eubank that were the obstacles in getting the fighs signed?

I'm just commenting on how he looked. It was hilarious.

The reason I think Benn and Eubank were the obstacles more than Toney was because you never heard Nigel or Chris mention James - infact, they rarely mentioned the very best fighters in the world at the time. Neither seemed to want Roy Jones anyway. Benn eventually fought McClellan, but Eubank never called out the best man - hell I had him losing to Tony Thornton.

Toney never ducked anyone.

I read somewheer, may have been here that Eubank and Toney were scheduled to fight at cruiser a few years back but toney pulled out, it may have been when he was offered the Jirov fight.

chris probably didnt say anything because he was too busy thinking of something that would sound intelectual to say.

the reason why toney slurs now is cos of all that fat around him and his mouth :lickish: ;D

he doesnt get hit as much as ali used to, the guys a defensive wizard!
