well said skel, this is old news. I remember when it was in the papers, he didn't do a runner or anything and went straight out of the car see if he was O.K.. I'm not advocating speeding by any means, truly dangerous drivers should be locked up, but Amir is young and accident's happen, I bet a significant number of posters here got into some sort of minor accident in their first year as a driver, the statistics show it.

I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt for now, I don't think we should bracket him with the arrogance of Hamed just yet, and just because he's a muslim. He has confidence like most unbeaten boxers, but I've only seen him wind up a fighter once, and that was when his opponent came to rough him up with low blows and elbows.

This is why I get annoyed at things like 'Baby on Board' signs. SO F****** WHAT if there is a kid in the car in front of me. Am I likely to see a car without a stupid sign and thing "Oh, there's no baby on board, I think I'll ram that car at 60mph".

Why should people who choose to have children be treated as if they somehow have more rights than everyone else. I for one am deeply uninterested in anyone else's children and could not really care what happens to them. Why should I?

Another thing I'm trying to figure out, does Khan get all this hype because he's a Muslim? I've seen him fight and he's got talent, but not so much talent that receiving this kind of publicity makes sense. It seems to me since Ali, everyone was looking for the next great Muslim hope, and first it was that ugly troll Naseem, now Amir Khan (he actually has a troll-ish look to him). As far as the accident goes I don't have much of an opinion, I wasn't there so I can't say. But someone please tell me why the kid is getting media exposure like he's the next Roy Jones?

It all seems a bit one sided and unfair to me. I have seen people on this forum raving on about Roy Jones' speed and also people always say how entertaining Tyson was when he used to knock people down left right and centre.

But when Amir speeds and knocks someone down, we all criticise him?? It's one rule for one and another rule for another.

With regard to Emma's earlier point about the mother and baby - don't forget that this was in Bolton, so she would have been a 15 year old single teenage mum, getting her house and benefits off my tax.

Well done, Amir, knock a few more scroungers over. At least they will be able to legitimately claim disability benefit now!!

I definately don't criticise Amir, he's a great talent. But it's a little hard to compare because Jones unlike Amir had loads of power with his speed, had a totally unorthadox style we'd never seen before, seeing punches coming from a mile away and reacting to it like it's no big deal. I like the kid, think he's very exciting and will definately be a world beater. But I don't think it's wise to put all this hype on him, cause then you get things like the 4 rounders comment lol :)
