Murray gets surprise Connery call
Tennis star Andy Murray has revealed that he was woken up in the early hours by a phone call from another famous countryman - Sir Sean Connery.
The legendary actor called to wish the Dunblane teenager luck in his match against the third seed Andy Roddick, which he went on to win.

Murray, Britain's last player at Wimbledon, will play again on Monday.

Writing in his weblog, he said there was "nothing cooler than being woken up by James Bond".

The 19-year-old was sleeping when his mobile phone rang at 0300 BST on Saturday, but since it was from an unknown number he did not answer.

Murray said he had no problem getting back to sleep, only to discover in the morning that the mystery caller had been Sir Sean wishing him well in his next match.

As it turned out, he secured a decisive victory to move into the fourth round of a Grand Slam tennis tournament for the first time in his senior career.

Murray now faces Marcos Baghdatis for a place in the tournament's last eight.

Writing for his online tournament diary, Murray said: "He was calling from the Bahamas which is about five or six hours behind us. There's nothing cooler than being woken up by James Bond."
