look...I'm not going on the record as saying Teddy Atlas is one of the greatest judges in the world but when someone scores the fight 15 POINTS different than Atlas there is a PROBLEM!!!!!!!!! I would investigate that Judge to eliminate the possibility of a fix......I might not agree with Atlas on some of the scorings but the most our cards have differed was by 2-3 points...NOT 15!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lennox Lewis Vs Holyfield 1 was a draw, yet Lewis clearly won and it even made front page NY news that Lweis was robbed and it was an embarrasment to the sport.

Hatton Vs Collazo was a much closer affair with Hatton scoring the knock-down in round 1 probably helping him edge it. Hatto landed more leather and threw more leather and got the knockdown...wheras Collazo threw less, landed less and got NO knockdown.

If luis didn't wobble Hatton in the 12th there wouldn't be any fuss about this fight.

Although that said, Hatton should oblige the rematch in Manchester as Collazo asked for, to seal any doubter's minds.

But even after saying that = Collazo won the belt himself amid much split-descision controversy didn't he?? and didn't offer a rematch.

couple of things... I agreed that there is a difference. Ben Rabah could have KO'd Urango, then there's no robbery.

Hatton v. Collazo--you need to check your facts. Collazo landed more punches and at the better percentage. Just watch the results on the fight. Look at Hatton's face; listen to his corner. Everyone knew he lost that fight.

As for the knockdown... JM Marquez got knocked down 3x in one round, but demonstrated that he could still earn a draw against Pacquiao (my #1 P4P), so the flash knockdown shoudn't have influenced it that much--although I see your point.

now i love boxing and have done since i was a kid and never do i like to think fights are fixed but when you see fighters get the nod when they've been clearly beaten kind of makes you feel angry, i've lost count over the last few years the nimber of times i've felt there was something not right about that points win.

i think that it must be made law that if a judge, promoter, fighter is found guilty of a fix, they serve a jail sentence no shorter then 25 years no parol no let out early for good behaviour 25 stright as it comes, beacuse boxers risk there lives in the ring and once they retire there quality of life is below average due to the damage there limbs, bodys and most importently brains recieve so to blantly rob them is not on

jeff fench was robed against azuma nelson and he was never the same again

Many of the fights stated in this thread do not even hit the robbery level IMO. They were merely close fights that went to the wrong person in someone's opinion.

To my knowledge there has not been a top level fight fixed since Escalera/Everett in the mid 70s.

The only two since then that have a whiff of fix about them were IMO Whitaker/RamirezI and Coggi/GonzalesI.

Are some judges incompetent in my opinion? Yes, but there is a big difference between being incompetent and being corrupt... ;)

Worst robbery I've seen lately was Kirilov vs. Perez. I was absolutely appalled when I heard the decision. What made it even worse was the fact that it was a majority decision. One judge had Perez up by 7 points. I'm not sure if I'd call it a fix but I fail to see how Perez could have even been given a draw on the cards never mind being 7 points ahead. Definately one of the worst I've seen.

Look its simple really, if the Judges dont side with the House Fighter and piss the Promoter off[ because its the housefighter whose put bums on seats] they dont get much work come their way in the future.No more weekends away, all paid for. No invites to the conventions, no money put away for this years Holidays. No thats not what happens surely, Im afraid

Only recent FIX was Spinks vs Karmazin. That was a fukin disgrace. 3, count em, THREE gift decisions now for Spinks. :o
