it might be stacked...but I think had Byrd been in the CW division he would already be the champ......I think this move will buy him 3-4 more years on his career......

I wonder if Byrd now becomes a "puncher" at Cruiser?

Anyone wanna play what would a happened if Byrd had started out at LHW? Anyone think he would have beaten RJJ? I think I still pick Roy. Chris wouldn't enjoy the foot and hand speed advantage at LHW that he did at heavy.

I think he'll be middle of the road, CW has a lot of harder punchers i.e bell, mormeck and haye hits like a heavyweight at cruiser. When haye moves up he'll fill out to at least 240 and hit harder than most. People say Haye is frail because of his loss to carl thompson, that fight was way to soon in his career, carl thompson was like the B-hop he wasn't ready for. Haye has improved dramatically, i think he will beat ANYONE at 200lbs

i heard a while back that byrd was knocked out by calzaghe in the amatuers. is it true?

I've seen people talk about that in other forums. But I'd say as a professional Byrd has accomplished more. I don't think Calzaghe ever invisions himself beating a prime David Tua. And I dont think anyone else would either.

Well he's "hung" with the heavy's for more than 10 years and pretty much had his way....He believes this is a way to lengthen his career and take a little less punsihment in the process...Chris also knows that the guys he can beat; Rahman, Toney, etc.,will never give him a fight...so why not go down to Cruiser and become the draw?
