It's too bad that they through Vargas and Reid in the ring early in their careers with a lion like Trinidad, bad mistake from thier camps, at least Vargas had enough heart to stick around while David Reid faded away.

Vargas is fun to watch ! and is a great fighter ! seems like people are too caught up in wins a losses. a fighter can have 5-6 losses on his record and be the most dangerous S.O.B in the world and a fighter can be 42-0 and be Peter Pan ! These big records with no losses are shit ! with the exception of a Mayweather these records can be misleading and lots of times signify an over protected fighter , just building up records on chumps to fool the common folk . anyway I agree with your statement !Quote:

i think mosley will probably win, but i really hope vargas has made some adjustments and pulls something out.
GO VARGAS
he deserves to shine
this reminds me of riddick bowe he was an old fighter at 28 aswell so many tough battles with evander
Indeed. ! Those big Battles add up on the cash register, depending on how your put together physically you may be able to withstand more punishment then the guy next to you. but eventually when you hit enough keys, that drawer gonna fly open,Quote:

Back in the days the 30's 40's and 50's A fighter would do normaly about 130 fights and those fights was mutch harder and with harder gloves and still thay managed to fight through many ko losses and still did good for many years.
Today as fast as a fighter get a big beating in a fight and even if he's young everyone starts "ooo he's finished he took to much beating"
I am not taliking about fighters like evander! Evander is done. But many aother are not.
vargas is a useless crab.
First off the 3 losses don't mean he's washed up..it's not like he lost to 3 nobodys or up and comers....He was out for a long time with back injurys..Yes he is an old 28 but he has been in some wars...Fernando has been amoung the top tier for a while...he could use some easier fights for a while to get back into top form but finished no
dont even suggest vargas take an easy fight
you should know by his resume that that's the last thing he would want
and unless you want to destroy boxing, that should be the last thing you want too
fukk all this "he needs a tune up fight crap"
if the best always fought the best
then we might actually know who really is the best
and boxing might actually be a popular sport and rise from the ashes
You make a very valid point !! Cool Click , You know back in the Ray Leonard days , the best fought the best while they were in their primes, and it made people want to tune in, What’s a loss when you give a 100% against a top guy?? All people want to see is a fighter perform to the best of their ability, wins and losses who gives a rat’s a**? look at Gatti. he lacks in certain areas, but its not in determination, and that’s what matters ! he gives his best , and the by product is he puts asses in seats ! The same can be said for Vargas. The man comes to fight, and gives his best every time out, I have nothing but love for a fighter that do that !Quote:

...with the events of this weekend I say "Fernando give Sturm a comeback fight" or perhaps a fight with Vernon Forrest would be good for him.
He is like the EASIEST fighter to take out mentally...I feel bad for him, but his record is nothing to be ashamed of.
Actually, Vargas should kind of be ashamed. I think everyone is forgetting this is the first KO Mosley has had since Adrian Stone, 5 years ago. Mosley ain't exactly Tommy Hearns, especially at 154. Vargas needs to hang 'em up.
