Actually, I do hold Lewis in high regard...the vote's still out on Wlad though.Quote:

All i remember when watching the tua fight was thinking to myself over and over, "this guy is built like a brick shithouse". And boy could he box and take a punch. I could watch that ike/tua fight over and over. It was one of the great fights.
Yes indeed !Quote:

But He may have gotten a title but he didn't have the mental toughness to be the one in the heavyweight division and Lewis would have beaten him. Sorry. but don't overrate Ibeunuchi he beat Tua and Byrd and? What else? He was going to be good byt he wasn;t going to be on any super level, that era would have been Lennox's no matter what Ibeubuchi did
Ike Ibabuchie had an excellent corner and excellent training staff, Curtis Coats was top notch ! Ike was one of the best at keeping his composure in the ring. I personally think Ike Ibabuchie would have moped the floor with Lewis ! Lewis stamina was S***, he would have failed late in the fight IMO Ike wins 8th R KO.Quote:

I don't care how good a boxer he was/could have been, violent, mentally ill rapists belong in prison.
Wlad DOMINATED Chris Byrd....before the violent KO Ike had a TON of trouble with Chris.
Ike had potential but I think he was going to end up as a slugger who would get outboxed by the likes of Holyfield and so on.
Plus you do of course realize that we're talking about a guy who only had 20 fights and 15 KO's
I understand the record, But this is a guy you could tell was destined for greatness based off what he did in the ring, The way he acted inside that square circle, the way he would react to his opponents his ability to counter and out hustle folks, He actually reminded my of Evander inside the ring, only Ike was bigger and had more pop. Ike came into each fight in fighting condition , just like Evander. And Ike had one hell of a great trainer in Curtis Coats.Quote:

I thought Ibeabuchi COULD HAVE been great....but I really can't say that he was one of the greats just because he narrowly beat a younger Tua and that feather fisted Chris Byrd.
Ibeabuchi had really good speed and obviously good stamina and a chin from heaven. (It's not often that you see someone eat Tua's hooks over and over but I really felt and feel as did the HBO staff at the time, that their fight could have gone either way.
As far as Lewis and Ibeabuchi goes....it's crazy in my book to assume that Ibeabuchi had no chance against Lewis. After all, Rahman knocked Lewis TFOut and he is very mediocre. Oliver McCall also put Lewis on the floor. As a matter of fact, if Lewis proved one thing to me it was that you didn't have to be exceptional to beat him.
I really don't see why Ibeabuchi couldn't have done the same.
The thing that I don't like about him though is that people seem to forget why he is where he is. The one thing that I can say for Lewis is that no matter how hard he got hit....he never went off and drove his car into pillars or raped women and locked himself in a fucking bathroom.
