First knockdown:two left hooks at Felix temple, followed by two left uppercut and than
a hard right to the jaw...,still Felix got up again and won every round after that till rnd 10,
in which he took a hard left hook that most probably broke Felix nose, with blood splattering
out of it, then three left uppercuts(again...) and a left hook to the body, the referee stepped
in and ended the fight...
I have to give it to Javier Castillejo, that he didn't tire and for finding most of the time the
right distance for his punches...
Again...it's just a loss...Quote:

I really want to see the match now. Musta been pretty ruff.
Very hard punches thrown by both guys throughout the fight.
Castillejo honestly looked like the bigger stronger guy though.
Sadly Felix isn't a big puncher and he traded to much with Castillejo...Quote:

Sturm should never fight out his fight plan for the people, the people aren't fighting for him Sturm needs to fight for himself and to win and not to entertain. Thats what Hopkins always said 'I dont care if they cheer boo or leave the arena, fact is, they already payed to see me fight, I'm gonna get payed, and I'm gonna win which means I get payed more, so I go home happy regardless.'
Sturm needs to learn that and he learned it tonight the hard way.
Exactly...Quote:

Two-time jr middleweight champion Javier Castillejo (61-6, 41 KOs) won the WBA middleweight title with a shocking tenth round TKO over Felix Sturm (25-2, 11 KOs) Saturday night at the Color Line Arena in Hamburg, Germany. Sturm staggered Castillejo with a left hook and landed several other hard shots in round one, while Castillejo closed the round with some good work. Castillejo dropped Sturm with a big left hook, followed by an uppercut and right hand in the second and furiously tried to finish the champion off, but Sturm survived the onslaught and fought back hard at the end of the round, which was stopped ten seconds early by referee Mark Nelson. Rounds three and four were fought at close quarters with both fighters landing good punches. In round five, Sturm shifted his tactics, and found the key to victory which was boxing from the outside. Sturm's movement and quickness gave him an edge at long range and when Sturm won most of the exchanges when he came inside. Entering the tenth, Sturm had a wide lead. A desperate Castillejo tried to apply more pressure near the end of the tenth he caught Sturm on the ropes and connected with a left hook, three consecutive uppercuts and a left hook to the body. Sturm never went down, but was clearly hurt and referee Nelson jumped in to stop the fight. 38-year-old Castilljo is the new WBA middleweight champion! It is believed that Sturm likely suffered a broken jaw.
