As for Nady,I think the stoppage was right but other than that and a few other times too,I think he is an idiot. I don't know,I mean Oleg WAS HARDLY holding and he threatened to take a point away, had the fight gone to points, that could have been crucial and not just that but in a few other fights too,he does the same silly things, makes silly remarks at the begnning of fights, and I feel shows for the camera at times rather than focusing on his job.
The best fer BY FAR is that Mexican dude who looks like my gramps, sheesh,I forgot his name, haven't seen him around for a while. You know who I'm talking about? He rules!!
JOE CORTEZ,THAT'S HIS NAME!!! HE RULES!!! :D
I am not surprised that you found Nady’s performance fine. You also applused the ref and the judges work in the Spinks-Karmazin fight.Quote:

German boxing had its own very biased and poor decisions and now you hint that it is okay that American boxing makes the shame poor trick because it happen in Germany before?
Lewis is a good commentator and only getting better. Joe Cortez is classic!!! and the ref job was horrid...didn't say a word in the 12th. I thought a point deduction for Rahman for holding in that round would have been appropriate. Had he warned Rahman like he should have.Quote:

He made me laugh at the post fight chat with Lampley. "definately, with the amateur background comes a lot of experience, which means you have had more experience, and in a tough fight you know what to do becasue of all the experience" ;D Right on Lenny.
Manny Steward cracks me up with his 1 sided-ness. He was screaming to Lamon Brewster 'GO TO THE BODY!!' when he was fighting lyakhovic.
Also, Lampley during Gatti vs Ward I when he cried 'stop it rick, you can stop it any time!'
Keep holding, Rahman ;)

Rahman held on best he could. Nice veterans move but if I could put a caption on the leg hugging pic I could sayQuote:

Trust me...I'd oppose just about anything that you supported, slick. Also...I never "applused" anything. ;DQuote:

My point is...if you don't have anything positive to say...maybe you shouldn't say anything at all...I'm pretty sure you know that EVERYONE tires of hearing your p!ssing & moaning.
nady sucked balls i'm watching the fight right now and i'm about to turn the sound off. but it almost seems as though maskaev benefitted from the constant and needless harassment, cause he started throwing jabs to keep rahman off him instead of allowing rahman to smother him---which is what nady was calling holding
just watched the end of the fight. i think nady needs a talking to. if he wants to play a major part in the heavy weight division he should put gloves on and box. being a spotlight craved ref isn't appreciated.
Jay Nady is the worst ref of our time period. In both Taylor vs Hopkins fights, he was being very biased and really did nothing to protect Taylor from Hopkins fouls. Every time Nady said break and stop punching, Hopkins would throw a bunch of kidney shots and when Taylor responded, he would only say something to him. That's just one of many instances where he ruined a fight.
