Lewis
Tyson
Brewster
Re: Golata-McBride On Valuev-Barret Undercard
I take golota if he even has half a tank but this is a horrible fight....Valuev VS Barret is no better...I can't believe this is a title fight hoe far the heavys have fallen
Re: Golata-McBride On Valuev-Barret Undercard
McBride's hugging and grabbing style will make Golata bite him all night ;D
Re: Golata-McBride On Valuev-Barret Undercard
If they're going to put on a freak show like this, they might as well throw all four of them in the ring together and make it a battle royal.

Exactly
Re: Golata-McBride On Valuev-Barret Undercard
i havent seen mcbride but this is what i think of golota he had good jab could fight well on inside but the guy is bloody lunatic who has got no patience and has got no heart he good of been good fighter if he had heart but like i said thats one thing u cant teach a fighter and thats heart ur either born with it or ur not
Re: Golata-McBride On Valuev-Barret Undercard
Take away the Tyson result and what has Mcbride done ? Ive seen him get K.o'd by British journeyman Michael Murray and have never rated him .
Golotas although he hasnt won big fights usually gives a decent account of himself against guys like Grant and Bowe . He has a nice left hand when he uses it . His footwork is impressive for a big man and carries respectable power he should win this easily as long as Mcbride doesnt challenge his mental strengh. What Kev needs to do is make it a rough house and see if Andrew has the discipline to control himslef with a big man like Mcbride leaning on him . Its debatable but if he can Golota , although in decline still has enough to win
Re: Golata-McBride On Valuev-Barret Undercard
yea i thinks he quite good fighter game but just seems he gives up on himself

How tall is Barret?? Maybe 6'2? And look who he has lost to. Lance Whittaker, Hasim Rahman, and Joe Mesi. Could Valuev possibly join this elite group of HW's ??? McBride may beat Golota as he obviously doesn't have anything left and is crazy... Even if he has anything left all McBRide has to do is still be there after a few rounds and Golota is just as likely to quite in some way as Tyson.
Yes to the first part of your question and correct on the "if McBride is still there." Very perceptive review.

But that is the world of HW boxing now....and 20 years ago if someone would have said all the HW titles would be held by members of the former soviet union you would have been shocked and in denial.

I'm not up on Politics and the cold war and shat like that, but 15-20yrs ago would Russian fighters even be competing in the U.S or on a main stream level let alone holding any titles???

absolutely not.....they were in the amateurs until they retired..they never had an opportunity to go pro....that is why such a fuss would occur when someone other than a Russian or Cuban won a gold medal in the HW division....
