Re: Have the Brit Boxers(Hatton/Calzaghe) lost there bottle, there way or both ?
Its all about money espacially for Calzaghe, no one will fight him unless there is big big money involved Frank Warrens sunday column said a few weeks back that RJJ wanted $9 million!!!!!!!!!! the only guy is Glen Johnson who will fight for resnable money, as for Hatton, well lets see same thing again, Floyd is being paid over $8 million to fight Baldomir and Baldomir is getting $1.7 Million? You think Hatton would put up with that shit? Its all about money, the demands of these fighters are not realistic.
Re: Have the Brit Boxers(Hatton/Calzaghe) lost there bottle, there way or both ?
Hatton needs to be realistic with himself. He's no PBF in the States and needs to work the audience, excite them, give them big fights and then the paydays can come.Just because he is a hero in Manchester means nothing Stateside,I know that sounds harsh but it's true. Saying that,IF he fights Castillo in March, that would be a big boost. He needs more fights like that but at 140,who else is there?
Big fights are at 147,so he'll be in a dilemma and I think his team sucks big time, why put him in with a stylistic nightmare for your first big fight Stateside?!?! How dumb is that and why not try to get Cotto or Floyd for DEc/Nov when they were free? He can't keep saying he is not ready as time is running out. This is just my opinion.
A fight with Witter would be a backwards step for Stateside appeal I think.

I think you are being a bit harsh on Hattons team. Nobody expected Collazo to be any good. Before the fight we all thought it was going to be another Maussa.
Hindsight is a wonderful thing.

Naaa, but even before the fight, everyone knew and the Hatton camp openly stated that it was his stylistic nightmare(tall southpaw) and coupled with only 7 weeks prep, that is really poor management. And not all of us,not speaking for myself but a few predicted a tough night and were 100% correct.
