Look for a some surprises in this one. Baldimir i one big MOFO. and he have surprising pop to his shots. This one could be interesting. I feel Floyd will win a dec, but Mayweather will get off the canvas to do it. IMO
I don't know how Baldomir can put more effective pressure on PBF than Castillo did. He does not have the skills of a Castillo.
Anyone who gives Boldizor a good chance doesn't remember the first half of his fight with Judah where he was hit at will
Even though I think baldo has almost no chance of winning this, I am going to be rooting for him. It be awesome if baldo beat him, but I'm not going to put any money on that happening, but still one can wish and hope.
even though baldomir is the underdog, he has a big chance.
if he fights the same against mayweather like he did in his last two fights then he could win.
i feel carlos will lose the first few rounds like he did against judah then the pressure MAY get to floyd, who knows. in my opinion carlos has a huge chance!
according to text book, mayweather should box circles around this guy, but baldo is a intense pressure fighter, so who knows. will mayweather tire though?
no one can beat pretty floyd ryt now
LOL i was won over by Baldomir in his last few fights and i do think he will give Floyd a tough fight but PBF will win every round imo through accuracy.
Floyd also has a 5 inch reach advantage and is 1 inch taller ;D
but if I can get $6.50 in Nov I'll have a couple of hundred on Baldo ;)
Floyd should beat Baldomir. It wouldn't be 'right' for him not to do so.
Floyd needs to lose someday but not until he's done winning. He hasn't defined himself fully yet, and Baldomir's not the guy who for the sake of boxing history should derail Floyd at this point.
If any of this theoretical kind of stuff makes any sense in the real world.
I want Floyd to win, not because I find him so likable or am a great fan of his like I am of Hopkins or Tzyu's - just because it ain't his time yet to get tarnished. He still needs to step up and test against more recognized top talents.
course I'm not a boxer what do I know
If I'm not mistaken weren't there threads made like this one that said Baldomir -"I can beat Zab/Gatti" and hes kept his word so far.
:o
I was impressed with his victory over Judah, but never thought Gatti had a chance! Just like I feel Baldomir won't win here!Quote:

I've heard people say that Baldomir has no chance. I totally disagree.
We're living in the age of spectacular fighters. Spectacular fighters are the only fighters who seem to have a chance these days. Long gone are the Carmen Basillio's of the world, people who didn't posess one spectacular asset. Someone who doesn't have blinding speed, one punch power, freakish reach or an untouchable defense isn't able to beat one of these fighters. But...why? I mean, Baldomir is solid. No other way to describe him. He is solid. He doesn't do anything extrodinary, but he doesn't do anything wrong either. When is the last time Mayweather has fought a guy like that? He hasn't. Not many people have nowadays. There was a time in boxing, where 20 or so fighters could challenge the great champions. Baldomir would have been one of those guys. I think he still is. No weaknesses or strengths. He's solid. So why not give him a shot? I don't think Mayweather is going to get him out of there, and I definitely don't think he is going to overwhelm anybody like he did against Corrales and Judah. Simply because he doesn't have the weaknesses of those others. I don't recall Gatti ever getting laughed at when he said he was going to beat Mayweather, and his strategy was to hit Floyd on the arms!
Personally, I don't think that Baldomir wins more then a few rounds. But it's not out of the question that he does and I think that Floyd knows it and will come well prepared. If he doesn't, which isn't like him, then we could have a major upset on our hands.
