Thats what they said about Tommy Hearns too.
He's looked good against Walter Matthysse and an old, shot Sharmba Mitchell.
He looks good except for the bad defense part, and he's so big, but I need to see more than Matthysse and Mitchell before I go off the deep end about him. His fight 28 or 29 fights he was matched VERY VERY soft and he's only gradually picked it up lately.
Thread title totally over exaggerated. Even IF he beat Tony Margarito, guys like Quintana,Collazo,Clottey,Joel Julio(he was outboxed by Quintana, can still go to war),Floyd,Mosley all have a chance again,oh and Cintron.
I wouldn't say right now he could beat anyone at welter. I do believe he is the future though of that division if he stays. I'm hoping that Tony fights him next I would love to see that one. If Williams gets by Tony with ease which I"m highly doubting he will then maybe this kid is the realness, I guess time will tell. He just needs to keep fighting better oppents.
I'm going to stick my neck out and jump on board with this statement,
Williams beats Julio, Quintana, Collazo, Cintron et al..........
He's just too big and fast for the division, yeah his defense is kinda non-existant, but the guy has a great chin and a friggin 82" reach at welter!! I will give this division to Williams (with the exception of PBF) until I am proven otherwise, i.e. him losing
He certainly has the potential but I think he will get caught and caught badly, imagine of a power puncher like Cintron had all the chances Mathysse or Mitchell had! It would be lights out! I'm not on the bandwagon yet but I have taken a liking to him as he reminds me of Tony alot!Quote:

hE WOUL KTFO Judah!!! You're joking right, where does all this rating Judah come from? He chokes on the big stage, heck he chokes on the small stage!
I Agree Zudah would be snuffed inside 3 rounds. not only does Williams have advantages in height and reach, he also has advantages in determination factor and punch output, he fights extremely well on the inside for a tall fighter with a freakish 82 inch reach.. short fighters are really in troubles i believe. Judah would have to lunge all the time only to get caught with a hale of gunfire.Quote:

To be honest I found him exciting but I didn't see a world beater here.
Now I'm the furthest thing away from a Tony Margarito fan but I think Tony would just brutalise this kid. He was way too open, got caught flush by Sharmba 4 times in a row in round 2 or 3 and just would not get away with such a weak defense against a guy like Margarito.
He throws a lot of punches, but he doesn't look like a big puncher, certainly no Hearns. I think he will get outmuscled by the best at 147lb.
If this fight happens against Margarito, and it's a probability seeing as he's Tony's mandatory I would say Tony inside 8 or 9 rounds.
cc bro I agree with you, the win over Mitchell didn't prove sh*t but that Mitchell is shot. I love the way everyone seems to jump on the bandwagon. Sure Williams looks good but he showed nothing to me in the Mitchell bout to show he's a world beater. Quitana is the better fighter outta the two IMO.Quote:

( i don't know i am translating my thoughts very well ? ???)Quote:

Judah - You're kidding right? If you haven't noticed he has a glass jaw and no legs, being just fast is not enough anymore
Collazo - Definately doesn't have the power to put him away, that being said Williams takes it on the cards.
