It's a legit question, in the heavyweight division more than any other it matters how effective the punches are. So I say again, was Toney landing ineffective punches? Its the reason he didn't beat Rahman, and the reason most people don't want to see him at heavyweight.

It's tuesday morning and yesterday was the first time I posted on this forum in ages... You obviously haven't seen the fight so why dont u do so and then tell me what you think... Toney was landing some great punches and just because he couldn't hurt Peter doesn't mean he didn't box well and win the figtht over 12 rounds, he landed far more and far cleaner punches..

You have a great point in asking this question.....pitterpat B*llsh*t doesn't fly in the HW division...not since the days of ALI....so if that's what Toney was throwing it would be easy to understand why he lost....

You have a great point in asking this question.....pitterpat B*llsh*t doesn't fly in the HW division...not since the days of ALI....so if that's what Toney was throwing it would be easy to understand why he lost....
Yeah ok, it was a good question, but it just wasn't the case... Toney was leading with his jab very well which he rarely does, and his usual counter punching WAS effective.. There was no pitter pat, Peter was just a rock compared to Toney, he couldn't hurt him, but he gained his respect that's for sure, and was scoring very well all night.
