It's crazy that an animal that is probably the least deadly that hes encountered is the one who kills him. :-\

but lets face it these things are going to surface sooner or later and there have been many things like it on the forum in the past.

i have to admit i was watching Irwin on Saturday as i lay in bed suffering from a hangover and actually thought what a cocky git he was when he laps away from the crocodile at the last minute and how I wouldn't have any sympathy for him if one got him one day.

But I was stunned as the rest of you by the news this morning.

The great thing about being in a democracy is that people should not have the right to be offended.

I don't really care if I offend people too much - hypersensitivity to perceived insults is part of the reason why the world in in such a state.

I would like to think that Steve Irwin, having a robust Aussie sense of homour, would find these quite funny too.

will be missed and he put the fun back into animal studys

In all fairness he had it coming and he knew the risks he took to entertain, but yet many people live dangerous lives and live them till the end, it was just somethings will to end his life early and i feel like peoples attention should sway to comiserate his family and i know they understand like we should do and he did that if he died doing his thing that it would be worth it because its what he loved to do and it entertained millions.

a lad i know put out a bulletin on myspace all like "good riddance he was a stupid idiot and people should have expected him to get killed in his proffession fuck him"

i told him he was a heartless cunt and he was a human bieng regardless of his career path, and to stop acting like a fool to try and say he had it coming.

Yeah but come on... by a sting ray... he was more likely to get hit crossing the road or something... he is only the 2nd person to have died from a sting ray sting.

He was knowledgeable of how these Animals behaved etc... he was a lot less likely to get killed then if you or me randomly walked up to an alligator or something... was raised in a zoo (shut it :P) all his life... his dad owned one.

sorry mate if i came abit strong in my other post, it was just a shock to me that's all...
I really liked the guy

More interesting to me is how we all react differently to death./humor/sadness/and every mixture in between ,whatever, it doesnt matter its only timing.

At the end of the day life is but an ocean,
we are all in the same boat and non of us are getting out of here alive :) .

Steve Erwin was exuberance = great life.

Have fun, he did, no regrets.

Really too bad. It almost seems sureal to me, like any minute there'll be news that he's ok.

He died doing what he loved. Like someone said, you had to expect this sooner later, yet now we're shocked that it did. A good person taken too soon.

RIP Steve. Prayers out for the faimly.

people have the right to be offended as much as those who choose to offend willingly or not. We have comments about other deaths, guess this is different as we all seem to agree that he came over as a decent guy, dunno.

Dude thats not fucking cool. Most aussies over here are pretty devestated by this. One cruel joke has been said "Irwin should of worn sunscreen to protect himself from harmful rays"...thats fucked and this was made only 8 hours or so after he died. Sorry but he may be a celeb but he deserves his respect and he will be missed.
