Re: Joe Calzaghe better watch out for Librado Andrade
I've seen Andrade fight, I voted Champ cuz I know he could gret his hands on one. What I'm not sure on is if he can hang on to it. I just don't see it in him hes heavy handed and brings the fight to you. IMO I don't see much skill as far as footwork, waist movement, fast hands, He doesnt attack the body.
On another note he does seems more motivated since Wayne been with him.

It's good he's keeping active, I don't think any one has said this is a super fight... or his last fight.
How you been Sonia? So i guess Bika was the best opponent avaiable? I doubt that. Every time big fights don't happen with Joe, it seems he's never to blame.
neatly side stepped the question didn't you. Every one available is a C class fighter... at best... I'd rather he fought a bum than didn't fight at all waiting for a fight with Taylor or some one.
I rather he gave a youngster a chance instead of fighting a bum. Why didn't the Allan Green, Peter Manfredo fights come off? Kessler called him out right after the Lacy fight, before he had signed to fight Beyer. What happened? Let me guess. Green, Manfredo and Kessler are to blame, right? There the reason's why the fights didn't go through. It's never Joe's fault. Come on, Sonia look at the facts.
ARe you serious? Green and Manfredo...... Yeah ok, it's Calzaghe's fault he isn't facing one of those two.... not because they probably didn't want anything to do with Calzaghe. You honestly think JOe would have gone out his way to avoid either of those 2?? Especially Manfredo, that's exactly the kind of fight he would want.. The Contender ::**.. Your attempt to back up your accusations just proves you have no point.

I don't doubt Calzaghe would destroy Manfredo (I wish he would). It was an example of a fight that was discussed with Calzaghe, that didn't happen. Which happens with a lot of fights that involve Calzaghe. Still, as bad as Manfredo is (and he's bad), I think he or Green still would pose more of a threat than his current opponent. Or you going to tell me that Bika is that good?

Well it's true he does need a bit more foot work and there is still more glitches to work on but haey Calzaghe vs Andrade would be good fight ::* :) besided they are both undefeated wich makes it even better yet ::**

I'm talking about Mundine. And don't fail to acknowledge how much Mundine has changed since then ;)
Re: Joe Calzaghe better watch out for Librado Andrade
come on..thats like bringing up Winky was down 5 times against Vasquez so Taylor should knock him out ;)

Star my dear, Sven Ottke only scored 6 ko's in his career. 6! That's in over 30 fights! One less and I could count them on one hand. And Mundine was one of them. That's one of those things you can't live down. No matter what. Kind of like Tua-Ruiz. Not only that, Wright improved since that fight. Mundine hasn't. Kessler whipped his ass and that Puerto Rican Siaca I think his name is also beat him. In his last fight he looked scared of Danny Green. And this after running his mouth that he was going to knock Green out early. I ain't no Calzaghe fan. I think his next opponent is garbage. But Mundine ain't much better.

I don't think Andrade is ready for Calzaghe, just yet. If Andrade can win a title before this yr. ends then maybe he should try to get a fight with Calzaghe midway next yr.

Hopkins-Calzaghe would be a great fight
But Hopkins is smart and knew it would be best to avoid Calzaghe a few years ago...that aint changing now ;)
Not too sure about that.. Bhop may have had the oppourtunity to fight him a few years ago, but why would he have?? Noone knew who Calzaghe was, he wasn't willing to come to the States either, he never has. You'd be crazy to criticize Hopkins for not flying overseas and moving up in weight to defend against him... Way more risk, and way less money then he would face at home. Besides, he had de la Hoya and Roy jones as possible superfights, and I never heard Calzaghe call him out... Not saying the fighht will happen now or that it's Calzaghes fault it didn't... It's just the way it works, Calzaghe has never left Wales in his life, and Lacy is the first name opponent he'd beaten in 9 years.
Mate i'm not slagging Hopkins (boring, but great fighter), thats why i said he's smart, i was referring to this
Calzaghe: I'll fight Hopkins anywhere
Joe Calzaghe, the World Boxing Organisation super-middleweight champion, is prepared to travel to the United States to face the world's No1 middleweight Bernard Hopkins in what is seen as a career-defining fight for the undefeated Welshman.
"This is the fight I have wanted above all others for the last few years," he said, "and it is the one the boxing world wants."
Since Calzaghe's two-round win over the highly rated Byron Mitchell in Cardiff on Saturday, Hopkins, 38, has said he would be prepared step up to super-middleweight and face him, but only if the fight takes place before the end of next January and only if it is in the US.
"I have no problems taking the fight on his territory," said the 31-year-old Calzaghe. "My message to him is: 'You want it, you got it.' He can have it anywhere and any time."
Hopkins' promoter Don King and Calzaghe's backer Frank Warren reached agreement for a fight last year, and the US television station Showtime was prepared to underwrite the event. But after a $3m (£1.8m) payday had been agreed, the fight fell through when Hopkins doubled his purse demands.
Warren has confirmed he is trying to reopen negotiations. "But he has had opportunities to make money since [beating Felix] Trinidad [in 2001] and has walked away. He is the only fighter I know who seems hell-bent on going from Park Lane to Brick Lane."
Calzaghe underlined his determination to get the fight, laying down a challenge to Hopkins. "Don't find an excuse to let our fight slip away," he said. "I have taken up your challenge to face you in America, so honour your words."

and this
Calzaghe knocked back by Hopkins
Bernard Hopkins has again rejected the offer of a multi-million-dollar fight against the undefeated World Boxing Organisation super-middleweight champion Joe Calzaghe, and says he will next face his fellow American William Joppy instead.
Calzaghe, 31, had hoped for what he regards as a career-defining contest against Hopkins, the world's No1 middleweight, after his recent spectacular two-round victory over Byron Mitchell. But Hopkins has made it clear he will pursue Joppy, an easier option, though a date for the fight has not yet been announced.
More worryingly for Calzaghe and his promoter Frank Warren, Hopkins has indicated he might be prepared to travel to Germany in December for a showdown with Calzaghe's super-middleweight rival, the International Boxing Federation and World Boxing Association champion Sven Ottke.
Warren has spoken repeatedly of his desire to stage Calzaghe-Hopkins at Cardiff's Millennium Stadium and believed he had a deal for the fight last year before Hopkins priced himself out of the contest by doubling his demands.
Nevertheless Warren has been in more discussions with Hopkins's promoter Don King and says he remains optimistic the 38-year-old American will face Calzaghe after he picks up his expected victory against Joppy. But King has also spoken with Ottke's promoter Wilfred Sauerland and it seems more than likely Hopkins regards Ottke as a softer, well-paid option than the intimidating Welshman.

People can slag Calzaghe and his level of opposition all they want but there's nothing he can do about if fighters are not willing to face him ;)

The reason the fights didn't go through is because: a) they where bluffs by promoters b) they fell through (Tarver anybody?...) or C) by the Time Joe made his plans other fighters where busy.
That's just my two cents mate Darling. :-*
By the way you where shit in the sack, I didn't think it was possible for an errect dick to be smaller than the owner's pubic hair, but you're the proof.
Yours, Sonia

He doesn't look scared of Green I can see him talking to him in that video. Apparently Mundine has improved or he would have been knocked out again. And there was an article on the web about how Danny Green used to sell T-Shirts and stuff and was calling out Mundine for years and he got the opportunity and then got beat in a one-sided fashion didn't he? I may have only heard of Anthony Mundine more then I have seen him in that clip and some highlights of the fight he had with Echols. But respect is where respect is due. I don't think Bika beat anyone as "good" as Danny Green. Who I know had Beyer beaten and almost out. Whether Kessler can do that or not is a mystery.
Re: Joe Calzaghe better watch out for Librado Andrade
Andrade's pretty good, he'd have a puncher's chance but Calzaghe's just better overall.
Hasn't Mundine been talking about moving to 160. ???
