I hear alot of people saying on this forum that they don't even want to see this fight. I have one thing to ask you. You say Manfredo is a game show boxer. You say he KO'd a shot Pemberton(I agree) and you say he is third tier. I can honestly say, as a fan, that you may be right. But how intriguing would it be if you were wrong. We have seen 1 fight since Manfredo has had ample time to learn from Roach(He trained with him for the 2nd Mora fight but just breifly)He looked great against Pemberton but wouldn't this fight be a true test? Can he take what Joey's got power wise? Does he deserve to be in the top 15 with guys like Lacy, Kessler, Beyer Froch, and Mundine? These are the questions I want answered. I don't root for Manfredo with blind faith. I would like these aswered once and for all.

The fight that I want to see:

I assume Peter will outbox Joey. He is very smart and will stay on the outside and potshot all night. He won't be able to knock joey out.
Assuming he gets by him.....

Allan Green Vs. Manfredo

This fight would be great for both fighters. This would be a truly great fight to watch. Im sure this fight could be made. Green has said that Manfredo ducked him. This could be true. I don't know. What a great fight if it could be made, though!

i think manfredo could out box green
and im 70% sure allan could knock peter out
the principal of the fight is exciting though... whether it happens or not is a diffeerent matter
though i like peter i dont give him enough chance as i would like him to have against sweetness green.

cool thats a fair card!! love manfredo hate spina... dont know ravelo green is plain entertaining.. (only thing wrong with him is hes a cory spinks fan!!)
gomez is a good fighter who regardless of who he faces he always looks impressive ( and thanks for his rank!! theres some good fights at light middle for him and bieng 25th isnt a long shot for the not so distant future to see him maybe win a world title)
balletto is an entertaining fighter and a nice guy too so thats all good!

I think Green ko's Manfredo in 3 cuz I think he's a better fighter. It's that simple. Manfredo's biggest mistake was being part of the contender. That show completely exposed him. I remember I was actually pretty impressed by Manfredo at one point. When he was one Friday Night Fights knocking out Shelby Davis I think it was. He looked good. Than comes the show and he's losing and going life and death with smaller journeyman like Gomez? Than the finals he gets schooled and actually backed up by Sergio Mora! Sergio Mora! They rematch and what happens? He loses again. Yeah, it could of maybe been a robbery. But what the hell was that fight doing going the distance? Manfredo showed of destroyed Mora. But he didn't. Because he's not all that good of a fighter himself.

Off their last fights, I see Manfredo exposing Greens's lack of defensive skills and taking him out late.

Spina is absolutely horrible man, like straight TERRIBLE. But he still got his ass beat by Anthony Bonsante, who Green just recently pummeled.. I think that fight alone proved that those guys are not real contenders.. Green may have his flaws but he is still a much more talented and gifted fighter than anyone on that show. Not to mention he's way bigger then Manfredo who only moved up to SMW to fight Pemberton who is awful.

I hear you. But there from Rhode Island, which means they have groupies who lust for them. Which is why there's so many stupid threads trying to say there good fighters. Which there not.

Green's better but he's so vulnerable its ridiculous. Good left hook but tons of flaws. Don't dislike the guy, but I can't think of anything really special about Manfredo, at least Green's got some power.
