One things for sure though, he can't have that much desire. Every boxers dream should be win a world title. How many of you would need to be paid to achieve your life long dream?
Mate thats easy to say from a fans perspactive, same could be said about Hatton, why hasnt he fought Mayweather yet???? Surely if you have the chance to be the best boxer on the planet you take it? It's not as easy as that. It's a businees Boxing is a short carerr especially if your 39 years old ( Skelton) I just hope we find out exactly the amoun he was offered, i heard on the Moscow great Vine that he was offered to box's of Vodka and a Russian Hat ???Quote:

i think skelton is making a big mistake, what on earth would make a man as little talented as he is turn down a world title shot, he's agood domistic fighter hitting 40, he's not a natrual boxer, he got a gift in beating fatboy danny williams then goes and turns down a title shot, must be that he doesn't fancy his chances there can be very few other reasons for it
Its baffling. I can see no reason for it. What does he expect? That he can pick and choose? That the whole world is holding its breath to see him fight?
He is one loss from being finnish; why not chance it against Maskaev? He should do it even for nothing since only if he was ko early would it be worse than no fight; if he handles himself ok and puts in som good effort he is still in the mix. No its just like he never existed. What a mistake; he predict that this was his one chance and he blew it without even giving it a shot.
He will end up fighting some up and commer and lose and thats that for nothing.
Sorry....I know it's childish, but it tickled me a little. He's one defeat away from being finnish. Not many great boxers come out of finland...but still it's a bit harsh :pQuote:
