Forget the green, those boys have talent. Look at the size of them!!! The power!! The ability!! That is a fight I would pay to see instead of another Gatti debacle.
Re: Malignaggi vs Jr. Witter
I admit I really thought Paul was going tio get blasted out of there by Cotto in just a matter of a few rds....He took a lot of abuse but showed something. The kid has a future. IMO he will one day have a title. I think he needs some more fights with his level of comp rising as each bout progresses....We know what he has he showed us against Cotto so before ruining him and putting him in there to be nothing more than a game guy with potential...Fix the little flaws in the kid and get him ready for the future.....Why do promoters do this all the time...A fighter ends up ruined by being in over his head to much to early because of potential...Not saying Paul won't hold his own against Witter and I am not saying Witter is a great fighter but Malignaggi just took a bad beating. Keep him out of the over matched fights for a while...If this kid is brought a long the right way he has a good future I guarentee....Now only if he could throw a punchable to crack an egg

Not because Witter is a 6 round fighter but jus beacuse he shutss down against a defensive fighter.
Or maybe because he broke his hand.
I've only seen Whitaker twice. Against Hauck on Showtime and clips from the Ndou fight, and the entire Corely fight.
I thought he looked very good against Corley, call him boring all you want to but Corley couldn't do a thing with him or about him, it looked like he was toying with Corley imo and I'd never seen Corley look that bad. There must be something else about Witter then meets the eye, because as good as Corley was, for some reason or another he couldnt get off with Witter, and it says more about Witters skill, if the fight was boring it was because sometime after the 4th Corley stopped fighting and had mentally given up imo.
So you do think this would be a great fight?
Styles make fights. I haven't seen either fight a style similar to their own so I cant say.

I think Paulie took that risk of fighting Cotto so soon because he was worried about breaking his hands again in another tunr-up to hone his skills... so he took his chance and it was a very brave thing to do. He just had little flaws and they need to be fixed. The things he showed earlier in his career that he didnt show against Cotto, like keeping his hands up when he dodges backwards so he doesn't get hit. If McGirt can fix these things then it will be all good for Paulie, just as long as Mcgirt doesn't try to revamp his style.
