Great matchup.
People forget that Liston was in his prime about 4 years BEFORE he fought Patterson and won the title. he was a big man, very tough (fought 7 rounds through a broken jaw against Marty Marshall), a job like a telegraph pole, huge booming left and a crunching straight right. He would not be pushed around in the clinches and is probably only matched by Foreman in terms of brute strength and power. he couod also box reasonably well for a big man and had a good chin.
Tyson was devastatingly quick, aggressive and threw fantastic combination with effective head movement. The fastest starter in the history of heavyweight boxing, KO powe rin both fists, an underrated boxer with a very good chin.
The minuses - would Tyson implode once he found he couldn't bully or scare Liston. Liston was a bigger bully than Tyson, did more jail time and was a meaner sob. Would he bully Tyson?
Liston was afraid of no man - the only thing that freaked him out was crazy people because he never knew what they would do next. If he was fighting non-prime Mike, would he think he was a crazy man?

everyone will say tyson but liston could crack and before the cassius clay incident which i think is bit strange aswell he was very good fighter tyson doesnt like people that fire back liston in 10 plus liston could bully people and had great jab
