How did Julio look? Was he boxing more or still just looking for that one shot? Like El Gamo asked any head movement, jab?
Julio showed no defense and very limited offense. He was backing up most of the night and occasionally threw some combos and went on the offense. He was never real aggressive, but able to connect many times. At one point the ref stopped action and had the Doctor look at a bad cut above Rivera's left eye (I think it was the 8th round). Seemed like his power is not what is has been made out to be. He did stun Rivera a few times, but usually Rivera came back and was able to stun Julio a few seconds later.
Overall, it was an exciting, action filled fight, and Rivera actually looked good against Julio. That being said, what does that make Julio?
PS- I don't think this should take away from Quintana in his impressive win against Julio. He looked slick and boxed well regardless of what happened in this fight. I still think Quintana will find a way to beat Cotto.
He looked like an overrated fighter who's been exposed.Quote:

Nothing is wrong with Julio. He's just not that good. It's that simple. He was overly hyped and made out to be the next big thing. And it didn't happen. Happens all the time in boxing.Quote:

It seems like he has alot of work to do! Hey Bilbo, where you at my man? You see the fight?Quote:

Yeah I kind of taught he was wicked puncher too untill you look at the people he knocked out. Pretty much fighters he should of been knocking out.Quote:

There's really not much he can do, find a lesser quality of opposition? That would be some shitty opposition.
I don't think McGirt worked Julio's corner this fightQuote:

Can't believe I thought this kid would join the world's elite, now he looks more likely to go the same route as Audrey Harrison. :-\
I can't believe you did either. Sc for being so far off the markQuote:
