A battle of truly skilled boxers. I think this will be very close. de la Hoya is not over it yet. Mayweather is in his prime against a true legend and icon.
Man this is the most excited I've been for a fight in a very long time.

The Los Angeles Times is reporting that Oscar De La Hoya and Floyd Mayweather have agreed to terms for a pay-per-view mega-bout in May. The agreement was reached late Monday afternoon.
"Oscar is really excited," said Richard Schaefer, CEO of Golden Boy Promotions, a De La Hoya holding. "Oscar knows he will go in as an underdog because he is facing the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world."
De La Hoya will reportedly make more than $20 million for the May 5 fight, while Mayweather's share is expected to exceed $10 million. The exact split of the purse was not disclosed. Golden Boy will promote the event.
De La Hoya had given Mayweather a Monday deadline or he was going to pick another opponent for the bout. Mayweather beat Carlos Baldomir less than two weeks ago to win the World Boxing Council welterweight championship.

btw I am smiling ear to ear about this! This fight is going to be something...i've read every article I could on it and both ODLH and PBF and REALLY pumped and excited. This fight is HUGE!

If the fight is at 154 Oscar should be making sure Floyd is tested for juice before the fight ;)

i think PBF saying that he was going to retire after one last fight made oscar finaly make a decsion. PBF is the biggest fight out there and he wanted to make sure he didn't miss out.
i don't really like the fight being at 154 but i still pick PBF to outbox oscar. is mayweather sr still going to be training oscar for this fight.
