Vitaly never impressed me. His claim to fame was a gutsy performance against an aging out of shape Lewis. A fight he lost. His following fights were against nothing formidable.
It may make the division more interesting, but his brother would beat him like a drum. Its also a fight we'll never see. :(
Maybe thats an indication of the state of the division at the moment. Or, its a graphic and disgraceful show of hateration on your part. Vitali is a technition.
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
I am pretty sceptical about this report.Until I see it posted on the Klitschko website I wont put much stock in that rumor.I know that the WBC has designated Vitali Klitschko as "WBC World Champion Emeritus," which gives him the right to become the immediate WBC mandatory official challenger if someday he would wish to come back to professional boxing, so I don't know how that would effect Wladimir's plan to fight Maskaev.I guess we will see.

No "hateration".
Just my honest opinion. I just think hes limited. He uses his physical gifts(height and reach) to their maximum. Doing that doesnt make him a technician.
I do think the state of the division is a mess. Talent and promotional wise. I give Wlad a thumbs up for wanting to clean out the division. That would indeed make him the man.
I dont hate Vitaly, he just hasnt done a damn thing to make me think hes a great heavyweight. Beating the likes of fatboy Johnson, golf pro Sanders, and Williams doesnt cut it for me.

Fair points bro, I can dig that :coolclick: we need more guys like you on this forum. The flipside, is that I've always loved watching Lennox Lewis, and Vitali had my boy beat until someone stuffed a golf ball in his eyelid that is. From that point on and a few fights before I was incredibly impressed by Vitali. He was the man, and if he came back then he'd be the man again. My opinion.

I'm with ya.
I'd have no problem if your boy Vitaly returned and kicked ass. You definetly would have ammo to say, "Mwuhahahahaha, foolish right-cross, boxing dingbat. Never doubt Vitaly!!!!!" ;D
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
lol i dig that aswell, you'll settle in terrific on here I can tell!
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
I'm really looking forward to Vitalis comeback,I just hope he gets his injuries under control...
He is not the youngest anymore, but that doesn't mean much anymore these days...
GO VITALI ... ;)

As i read that, you think Wlad would beat Vitali. Considering Vitali is bigger, stronger and has a chin i'd say you're wrong.
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
Vitali is not stronger than Wlad....just look at those guys...Vitali is lanky and isn't really muscular....Wlad is pretty fuckin ripped....his arms are gigantic.
Wlad is the far better technical fighter
Vitali is good at dictating the pace and being relaxed in the ring
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
Jeff Lacy made Calzaghe look Skinny Lyle... it's not a valid point how big his arms are...
Vitali is stronger, no doubt. What ever he looks like.
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
I don't think he's stronger...I think he's able to take a better punch but other than that nah buddy Wlad hits harder it's just Vitali was better at picking his shots

I agree completely. He's a modern day Henry Cooper whose claim to fame is a gutsy loss to a great heavyweight, who wasn't properly prepared and was in the twilight of his career.

He is nothing like Henry Cooper. The guys he fought were so much tougher than the guys Cooper fought.Vitali went 195-15 with 80 ko's in the amateurs and 35-2 with 34 ko's in the pro's.Cooper went 40-14 with 27 ko's against complete nobodies.Cooper wasn't even competative in his fight with Ali, Ali toyed with him, at no point was Lewis toying with Vitali, it was a back and forth fight with Vitali winning the majority of the rounds. To say Lewis wasn't prepared is a cop out.
Re: Vitali to make comeback?
....you're never going to convert them
They think Vitali was garbage but they can't find one heavyweight fighting right now that could last 12 rounds with him

I don't think he's total garbage, I just don't think he's an ATG. If he comes back fully healed he'll be the best fighter in the division hands down and i don't think anyone will argue with that.
