Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
Froch started faster than usual and beat Dodson like a world class fighter should do...still don't see him beating any/many of the top boys though but it's time for him to face them now
The Hughes-Cocoran fight must be a candidate for the worst stoppage of all time :o
Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
Shocking but what a fight that was 8)
Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
Yeah it was entertaining. Short on skill big on action 8) ...Dave Clark (Sky bod) almost half ruined it mind by trying to sell it so people wouldn't turn over/off.
Whoevers idea it was for Cocoran to go down in weight like that must of been shitting themselves.

I've got a month's CC's on the line that Corcoran never fights at that weight again. He looked weak and lacking in stamina, he was much more comfortable a few weights up, though he may just go back the one weight division.
Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
I caught the Froch-Dodson bout; fair play to Carl, dispatching his opponent with relative ease.
Who will he now go on to face? (I dont know how high he is ranked by any of the main organisations). If (as per other thread) Calzaghe is talking about Taylor, then what about Froch-Kessler?
Maybe Kessler might be more than Froch can chew, (at least currently), but im sure Carl would give a good account of himself!
Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
Froch has a horrible style to fight - although easy to hit, he can bang back twice as hard.
He's not the slickest fighter, but has a weird way of finding a way to win. He ducks under and loops in the hooks and uppercuts with spite. His style is formulated on confidence, at times he looks bored and dis-interested - but thats all part of his sneaky game!
Kessler, abeit a very very good all round boxer may be too 1 dimesional to fight and win against a man like Froch.
Must be said, Froch can certainly take a punch aswell (he has too!)
Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
Love the way Froch just lays on the back foot, draws them in then ducks down as you say and flies up with a full on power shot and imo the right uppercut is his best weapon.
He used it early against Magee and then finished him later with more a uppercut/hook version.
Deadly!
You can see an evil little snarl on his face too when he has his man in trouble.
He takes Kessler tommorow ;)
Re: Froch hungry for win over Dodson
Can you imagine the stick Calzaghe would get if Froch went and beat Kessler? Froch would be like a dog with two dicks.

CC for the best metaphor I have seen this week!!!!!!! But seriously, I don't think that Froch's chin has been tested by someone bearing Kessler's power, and that is where any fight between himself and Kessler would rise or fall. Personally, I reckon that he would fancy a big chance if he got a shot against Stieglitz for the IBF SMW belt if he managed to wangle a shot at that.
