It's disappointing to hear that Morales is considering another fight, but I can't say I'm surprised. Every fighter thinks they still have one great fight left in them.
Morales needs to hang it up, he has been involved in more wars against world class opposition than any other active fighter. He may only be 30, but in reality his body is much older than that. I fear for his future health if he continues to fight.
His legacy is secured, he will be elected to the HOF the first instant that he is eligible. He needs to hang up the gloves now.

i've not lost faith in erik. he will come back and surprise most of you much like barrera did after the pacman debacle.

I knew this would happen. Even worse, Erik would fight forever, like a Julio Cesar Chavez, Hearns, or a Holyfield. Erik has the personality to do it too. To fight too long. I'm just glad there is a fighter so talented out there, Pacquiao, to just finish him quickly, rather than a slow painful downfall. If Chavez can get past his injuries and actually fight... I'd pick Chavez over Morales. :( Chavez looked like he was in his PRIME against Laveander Johnson... sent him to his grave.
WHO THE HELL WANTS JUAN DIAZ WITH MY BOY!!!!!!!!!! You guys are f*ckin' nuts! Have you guys even watched that guy fight?!!!! Not only is Juan a busier fighter these days, he has more stamina, AND he HAS NO POWER TO END IT QUICKLY? Do you know what that is?? ?? ?? Holmes Ali type fight, where we see our favorite fighter take a long beating.
Casamayor hits very hard, but he has lost a bit of his stride.
And Freitas has "retired."
Best thing for Morales is just to go. Even though he can match his speed with any of those fighters just mentioned. Lately, Morales has been a punching bag... and that is NOT the Morales I know. But if Morales takes another chance... any champion except Diaz.
