I am not tripping on this fight.
El Gamo - i appreciate your a Cotto nut...and i am too.
..but Killersheep - i'm yet to read a post where you DONT drag Ricky Hatton into it !
Hell, you could be talking about lunch and drop Ricky into it.
Hatton took a fight at 147 - he didn't 'Move Up' - so why the comparison?
Go fill out your sports book you joker.
All this hype around Quintana - big deal, he was fighting 8 rounders at the Playboy mansion last year. So he beat another 'prospect' in Joey Jewels - if he is so electric, how come the kid is 30 and i aint ever heard a ripple about him?
Because, like Paulie, he's a friggin nobody - he's an inflated record and we all know it !
And when Cotto rips him up inside 5 rounds everyone will say 'Cotto is the truth maaan !' - Collazo HAD A BELT... !

To get back on to the topic of this thread, damn this is gonna be a great card,
Two fights that are worthy of being headliners, makes me wonder if they'll charge
twice as much
$99.95
Why would I not bring Hatton into this? I am using for comparison as the standard the two most popular fighters on this forum to see who they went up against versus who Cotto's going against for their first fight at 147. Please explain to me how increasing one's weight to a higher weightQuote:

Also maybe you are talking about the thread that went on forever called "Castillo vs. Hatton who wins" Yeah I brought Ricky up quite a bit on there.
go ahead and look through my posts.
Maybe because you are a casual boxing fanQuote:

and like KS stated,of course he's going to do a comparison between Hatton and Cotto:2 great fighters, both world champs at 140,both moved up and took dangerous fights, what will the outcome be for Cotto and Hatton has gone back to 140 already.
Also,Quintana may have been fighting 8 rounders but 3 fights before Hatton,Collazo was fighting a guy with a record of 1-1?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!!?!?! I'm not dissing, just stating facts(you know you're still 1 of my fave posters! :lickish:  ;D)
And Paulie will be a future champ ;) ;)
KS, do you like Hatton?
truthful answer?
¡Diga al hombre de la verdad!
yo me puse pienso que usted hace
I have nothing against Hatton as a person, I think he has the personality that a champ should have.Quote:

My opinion of him is this,
He beat KT - that was a career defining fight, but he needed to follow-up
He barely beat Collazo - nothing wrong with having a competitive match, but Collazo was close enough in that fight to deserve a rematch.
Now he's fighting Urangotuan.
So to summerize, I don't dislike Ricky, I just don't think he's the hype he's being made out to be.
If he gets through Urango (very likely) he faces Castillo.
Castillo vs. Hatton is the point where Ricky proves me wrong or right.
Even with Castillo being war-torn and older, that is how Ricky can impress me.
And the funny thing is out of all the people on this thread that brought up Ricky, you called on
me, why is that?
usted siempre lo menciona. ;)Quote:
