Joe has the ability
He needs to use it
I don't think he is scared to use it but he is definitely padding his record to try and break Joe Louis's defence record.
No shame on you. It's posters like you who always go back to same excuse when you run out of excuses to defend your fighters cowardliness. Every fighter gets credit for stepping in the ring. That goes without saying. Once there in the ring there suppose to face the best and try to make the most money possible for themselves. Kessler is consider the biggest rival in Calzaghe's division. 3.4 million would be the most Calzaghe's ever made. He doesn't want the fight. Why? Cuz Kessler is not shot like most of the known names on Calzaghe's record? Is it cuz he's not some obscure scrub like a lot of the names on Joe's record? Or is it cuz he's scared? I say he's scared. And yes I did sc your ass.Quote:

TO X I AGREE,boxing is a hard game my son has boxed as amateur it take,s some ball,s to get in that ring so. My hat goe,s off to anyone that doe,s good luck to them ALL ;D ;D ;D ;D
No way VD - you're usually quite funny, but you've got this one wrong. I do not go back to any excuse to defend anyone - you will not find me anywhere claiming Calzaghe is the best thing since Roy Jones. I just disagree with people talking tough and calling any fighter a coward. I will criticise a fighter's style, record and everything, but I wouldn't presume to call him a coward.Quote:

Boxing history is full of dream matchups that never happened, that does not make people cowards.
Perhaps you find it cathartic to spout stuff on here, like you seem to have been doing recently. What happened to the VD who was funny and knowledgeable?
You naughty man ;)
And, no, I didn't sc you because I am clearly a saint.
My my, what a lovely colourfull discussion we have going on here tonight! ;DQuote:

.... Anyway, with that cleared up, im glad X made his comments.
I personally, have a very hard time liking Calzaghe, however i could never call him a coward.
Calzaghe obviously wants to close his career in the U.S on HBO in front of millions of viewers. I am one who would love to debate this move, but as ive just said... I would never call him a coward.
Thats just outright ignorance. :-\
i agree. J.Calzaghe whips ass. He will beat down Manfredo and then hopefully fight a megafight with Taylor, Hopkins or Kessel.Quote:

When Roy Jones reportedly turned down over $5mill to fight him, again you claimed it wasn't enough, that Roy Jones was totally in the right and Warren/Calzaghe didn't wanna really fight RJJ... If you were of the same opinion to the Americans who have chosen to 'pass' on better fighers, id still think your An a sshole for your comments made, but you'd have respect 'coz you would ad least be str8 as a die and not the hypocrite u clearly are now.
Its to funny, i can totally understand people getting pissed about him not taking kessler, but to go all out claiming his scare dof him, that calzaghe is a Coward 'coz he has chosen for the first time in his career to fight someone who is considered a much lesser fighter BUT a bigger name in the US.
Calzaghe could fight and beat Kessler, Hopkins then Taylor and you would find an excuse for everyone, thats why the Manfredo fight is aimed at the 'general' Americans, 'coz idiots like you would only ever pa to watch him fight if you were certain he was about to lose.
;D ;D ;D ;D ;D SPOT ON :o :o :o :P :P :P
I still say Jimmie Wilde was a better Welsh fighter than Calzaghe.
Jimmie was 44-0-2, 2 years into his career.
COLIN JONES
Why :o? not dissagreeing;) just curious as to why?Quote:

Look at what this maniac did in one year!!
His first full year as a pro.
This is something that makes me mad about fighters nowadays.
They hardly ever fight. 2-3 times a year tops for title holders.
