Re: Mayweather Run Rabbit run run run...
vick may be the single most overrated QB of all time, the guy is horribly inaccurate, he has a strong arm and he runs fast, he has no accuracy and cannot read defense, the only reason he makes passes is cus the farther its thrown the more time a reciever has to compensate for the QBs mistake, and he can throw pretty far
Sal
I agree with what you said here.

Re: Mayweather Run Rabbit run run run...
He ain't a runner, he's a pot shotter. he doesn't throw the amount of punches i want him to throw, but he systematically destroys an opponent. He is very efficient in the amount of punches he throws.

you fail to mention that the falcons recieving core leads the nfl in dropped passes

you overlook the fact that its easier to catch a well thrown pass that actually lands in your vicinity wiothout having to struggle to get to the ball b4 it huts the ground ;)

I have been following boxing for over 30 years, i have got out of bed in the middle of the night to watch duran, leonard, hearnes, hagler to name yet a few. But i would not get out of the chair to watch floyd, over hyped and a runner thats
Floyd "Pretty Boy" Mayweather.
If castillio floors him what will hatton do with his body shots!!! cause mayweather cant run from him ;D ;D ;D
That body shot was clean but Castillo was stepping on his foot and that caused him to fall. This is coming from a guy who has ZERO respect for Floyd by the way.

You "fans' need to let this stuff go.
That was YEARS ago and Mayweather is MUCH better then he was back then. Why does everyone forget the rematch?
People talk about bullying the best way to beat Mayweather, stop being blind please :( If the Baldomir fight taught you anything its this, bullying is the LAST thing to do to beat Mayweather. And another thing is that Mayweather has improved as a fighter, if he hadn't then Baldomir would have out-muscled him and beat him. It didn't happen. Use that as evidence that Mayweather can get beat but the most recent evidence of Collazo would convince you Hatton would get beat by Mayweather.
Fights 6 years ago don't mean anything if nobody has capitalized on Mayweather using that yet since then and you know they've watched the tape.
So whats the point of keeping bringing it up?

judging by this post, youre one who watches every game of one team and tries to judge a player that hes never seen in a game by reading the stat sheets in the sports section the following monday.
watch a falcons game, then you will know whats up ;)(dallas vs. atlanta this saturday on the nfl network)
Re: Mayweather Run Rabbit run run run...
I think PBF, is a great fighter...but a type of fighter that after he retires...no one will really remember IMO. Too many questions left unanswered. Yes, he's fighting DLH...but DLH is on his way out...has 4 losses on his record. IMO for Floyd to be rememberd the way HE wants to be remembered he needs to fight the winner of Cotto vs Margarito and if possible Winky...if he does retire after the DLH fight...sorry to say but IMO, he will be forgotten quite fast. Again, that's just my opinion....

#1) delahoya at jr. middleweight is infinitley bigger and much riskier than margarito or cotto will probably ever be (espically margarito who was almost exposed by clottey the same way he was exposed by daniel santos the club fighter 5 fights ago)
#2) winky wright is a middleweight......................... if floyd beats oscar at 154 and winky wants to come back down to 154, then that is the only way that fight ever has the possibility of coming off (and thats IF winky doesnt try to price himself out the way he did against jermain in the potential rematch)
#3) i dont think theres too many fighters out there who retired undefeated (assuming he beats delahoya like you said) having won world championships in FIVE different weight classes at 30 years old, that wouldnt be considered an all time great................................. in fact, thats never been done in the history of boxing ;)
goodnight, sanchez

:coolclick: It is your opinion...& actually a won that holds some water.
The thing is...I've been a fan of Floyd since...hell...I don't know when...forever it seems...anywho...I don't think that there are as many unanswered questions as most of his critics pose.
Oscar still has a bit left & a win over him would mean quite a bit in the grand scheme of things regarding Floyd's career.
I do agree that once he's gone...he'll be forgotten or written off if he does not face Cotto or Hatton...but not Margarito or Winky.
Big fan of Winky too...& he's just too far out of reach as far as weight goes...same goes for Oscar too.
Personally I think that Floyd is fighting far beyond his weight at 154...even if he were to outbox Oscar...I'll still feel that way.
140 is where Floyd belongs, IWO.
Again...good post & some valid arguements.
Re: Mayweather Run Rabbit run run run...
I totally agree with you COUNTER, if Castillo could do that imagine what Duran would do to him, I said on another topic that after Duran had given Floyd a few low blows, elbows and thumbs, Floyd would think he's been in with a Tiger and Duran wins a close decision, but after some consideration I think I've been genorous to Floyd and all the people in this Forum that think he's Great, what he's Great because he (Floyd says so) I'm now certain that Duran would destroy him, he would take away his heart and stop "pretty boy" in the 11th round.
The word Greatness is used so out of context these days, FLOYD IS GOOD BUT NOT GREAT!

Not meaning to nit pick ::**
But we all know that 2 of those losses should have been discounted the second they were given.
One of the others holds no disrepute what so ever as it was against a way bigger man, who was some what of a kingpin and is regarded as a living ledgend.
The remaining loss on his record was handed to him, by a man, who if he himself had of met PBF in his prime, would of handed his 1st defeat to him at 135,140 or even 147.
Granted, he should of been credited with a big fat "L" for his efforts aginst Strum... But like Floyd, who himself started his career at 130, it would be hard to find many respectable yet beatable middleweights.

I personally feel PBF will be one of those over debated myths who, in a couple of decades will be regarded one of the most underated greatest p4p fighters of all time ;)

You damn right there... at least he would still be boiling (by about 4 pouns ::** ) down to make this weight.
Re: Mayweather Run Rabbit run run run...
You don't get to become great unless you defeat great.
