I don't know, there really isn't that much depth at SMW in my opinion right now
So he definately could move up, maybe try bangin with Kessler or Summat,
I don't think Joe C. would give him a shot though.
Why on earth should Allan Green gets a titleshot in 2007? He has done nothing so far.
I could mention at least ten guys who could defeat Green in SMW. Everytime a fighter is from America a lot of people think that he must be the next Ali.
Nobody mentioned anything about Green being anything close to Ali. IF you can actually read, go back through the posts and you will read that everybody is just saying that he has a chance at a belt next year. sc
Against who does he get a chance to win a belt? Calzaghe or Kessler? ???

If it makes financial sense, Kessler will travel.
But i don't see Green as being up there.
Re: Allen Green. 2007 his year?
Kessler is a much better fighter with a lot brighter future then Green imo. But, styles make matchups and it would be a matchup of two tall straight power punching super middleweights. Of all the fights at 168, other then Kessler - Calzaghe, that might be the most intriguing fight in all the division
The problem is, I can't pick Green beating any of the strap holders. Why the guy has the world beater talk to him I have no idea. He is SO inconsistent it's impossible for me to get excited for him. He either looks spectacular or he looks bad. Can't pick an inconsistent fighter to win a title.

Hey Amat, not seen him fight - whats his amateur pedigree like?
Did he get any honours?

I'm probably the last person you would want to ask about someone's amatuer days but I did know that he was a Golden Glove champion and a quick trip to Wikipedia brought me this.
Quote:
Green had a stellar amateur career despite not making the Olympic Games, winning the 2002 National Golden Gloves, at 178 lbs, and compiling a 55-6 record. During the 2002 Golden Gloves tournament Allan beat Mike Tyson's two decade old 8 second knockout record. He also was five time Oklahoma state champion, and four time regional champion, before coming pro at age 23.

Since the IBF stripped Joe of their belt then if given the opportunity then he has a chance at it.
