Peter by Decision.
I just don't think Toney has it in him anymore to fight I think hes lost all that motivated him at one point in his career. IMO to him now it's just about being in the mix and having his name talked about. That whole Billy Blanks, and the nutrionist talks are bull none of that shit can save Toney.
He has a eating disorder and as we speak hes probably at Albertos Cafe in Miami grubbing on some Cuban food.

I got Toney by decision, most likely a split decision. I dont feel that Peter can hang with JFat, I felt that the first fight was a lot closer than the score cards. Peter may have caught him in the first fight but he didnt lay him out, I hope he can this time around but I dont feel that it will happen. Peter's trainer needs to work on the basics and stamina. I dont think either will be improved.

First off, a festive CC for the Wack one....a rather early DRBR though!! ::** ;D
Peter seems to be the favorite amongst the Saddo crew and to an extent that is understandable. I thought Toney won the first fight by 2 rounds, but his skill was unable to negate Peters power as effectively as it should have. I think Toneys conditioning was to blame for this. We have heard all this "I will come in slimmer and fitter" stuff before, but as a Toney fan I really am curious as to what his weight and conditioning will be. If he can just be a little more fleet of foot, then Peter will be missing with more of those powershots and Toney can counter effectively without losing balance...
Im willfully expecting Toney to come in sharper. Toney by UD or even late TKO...

Cmon bro, you can't call what Toney threw most of the time punches. Peter had friction burns from being rubbed so often by Toney's gloves. JFAT didn't show any promise of rattling Peter at all first time out, and unless he gets the steel chair out from under the ring, while Don King is standing in the corner distracting the referee, then I can't see him troubling Peter this time either.

Agreed. I have no shame in stating that I really can't stand Toney...but he's a hell of a boxer...thing is...Peter actually gave him severe issues & pretty much negated his abilities.
I got faith that Peter will catch him again & this time drop his mouthy ass.

You know.... Im enjoying this thread a great deal... I love lights out toney..
And even though you all my brothers.. Alot of you hate on toney..And even alot of you beleive toney has this one..
Its truely great :) ... But as much as i would like toney to Back up the ol. 'Lights out' title.
and put the nightmare to sleep..
I believe that toney will Have a nice clear cut ud by the end of fight night...
and then on to claim to heavyweight title he should have been carrying for a fair time now..

Peter is not a great boxer,period. James Toney is. James Toney took Peter's punches BETTER than most people (including me) expected Peter didn't hurt him at any time during the fight WITH THE EXCEPTION of the 2 times he clubbed him behind the head. Here Toney was clearly hurt,weather or not the punches were legal etc. is irrelevant as there was no point deduction. If you bend over and to the right side agianst a taller wide puncher that you've deen frustrating,he will punch at the back of your head. Valuev does it all the time. In Briggs/Mercer Briggs sidestepped Mercer and pushed Mercer against the rope belly first, held his head with his left hand pushed over the ropes and then hit him with a right hook! TOTALLY ILLEGAL!! but it knocked mercer out and briggs won the fight so tough sh1t!
The rematch was ordered due to the fact that 2 of the 3 judges had the fight scored so badly that it was apperant to most everyone (90%) of those ringside observers that Toney had won the fight as one judge had it by 115-112 or some such score. The fact that 2 of the 3 judge had the score SO far from reality forced the rematch. I feel that if only one judge was "out to lunch" for Peter it would have been a toney win -no rematch-
For the Toney hater. try for a moment to seperate Toney's Boxing accomplishments from his personality
Remember. this guy started fighting PRO at 157!! Samuel Peter weight 257 for the last fight. It's not possible to gain a huge pile of weight to compete with these super heavies without "Bulking UP" That means eating lots and that means you gain fat as well. Pro body builders bulk up to say 300 lbs then rip down to 220-230 to compete. its the only way to gain big muscle weight and mass. Also he has 78 pro fights!!!!
78!!!! try and get pumped and ripped and train for 8-10 hard weeks etc 78 f#ckin times!!! 20 years as a pro!! 4 fights per year * 10 weeks
It isn't easy! HE NEEDS weight to keep from being manhandled by bigger men and to help take the punches. He doesn't want to lose a bunch of weight! If he doesnt get gassed he needs all of 230 even then he didn't have enough weight on his punch to stop any of the last 3 heavies. LAST thing he should do is slim way down! He's NOT the tub of Goo people like to say! Look at he heavies! there all a bit chunky! some more than others! What about Larry Holmes? Late Forman? Lots of them Packed extra weight! Look at the pic of Toney and tell me he's a tub!
NOW I PREDICT: "drumrole" more decisive win by Toney. By decision.
If Peter Knocks Toney out I will send Wacko a "Lights out" cigar which he may light and blow the smoke in my face.

PEter was cut and busted up worse than TOney, just because he landed a few bombs and generally the harder punches doesn't negate the fact that Toney was far more consistent and won several more rounds at least... Toney by a more convincing decision this time around, just wait and see.

I will indeed wait and see, but in my opinion, and the judges opinion, Sam Peter threw more damaging punches more often than Toney's pawing shots, and it is my belief that he'll do it again.
