I would give credit to PBF if he would have stepped in the ring with Tony.
Let me put it to you this way, Sergio Mora wanted to fight Oscar De La Hoya @ 154 or 160
Sergio said that Oscar was an ex champion and past his prime. I can see why Sergio would want that fight but to think that PBF wants this fight? Please. We all know Oscar is going to lose. He will not be able to catch the pretty little weasle. I hope they both run from each other all night long and turn this fight into another Tarver/Roy Jones dancing contest.
Like someone said above, ODLH is not good at all in a higher weight class. Just watch Oscar vs Felix Sturm and you will see how terrible Oscar is ;D and the judges were even worse.
Zero credit to Floyd like I said earlier.
;D
Simple question, Danny. Who the fuck cares what Sergio Mora thinks? Why even acknowledge what that chump says? And yeah De La Hoya is not the fighter he was at the lighter weights, but he's still more of a threat than a club fighter like Margarito

Are just not true and have no base to your arguement?
You say put it this way and talk about mora?
But put it this way...
If floyd gets zero credit then miguel cotto gets - 100 credit!!
I mean? floyd has at times fought the good fighters..Not great just good...
The Contenders such as Corley..Floyd beat him more convincingly.. Didnt get rocked quite the same either!!
But somehow you have managed to judge floyd on his out of ring attitude maybe ( we all know it sucks) and maybe mixed that in with dislike and love for your favourite fighter... And came out the other side with a poinless.. baseless arguement/statement on how miguel beats floyd hands down?
Its just doesnt happen im afraid my brother...
Take this how you like..This is not beef less you make it beef.. But i certainly disagree...
See what you make of it?
Peace
Cotto stopped Corley in 5 and Corley went the distance with PBF. No one had ever stopped Corley but Corley was taking knees and bowing before Cotto on Feb 25th 2005. Cotto did get rocked by Corley but Cotto came back and stopped Corley.
Yes I brought up Mora because even Mora thinks he can outbox old Oscar in a higher weight class and Sergio is not a thrid of a quick boxer Floyd is. Floyd is just taking another easy fight that he knows he will have no problem winning. I want PBF to fight some one young and in their prime. I want him to fight someone dangerous. Other than Castillo, I can not mention anyone else or great fighter PBF has beat. You said it correctly when you said Floyd fights good fighters but not great fighters. You can not be ther greatest if you are not fighting the great ones. Capiche?
Diego Corrales was a great fighter until Floyd beat him, then all you Floyd haters said he was garbage. Just like you would surely change your tune on Cotto, Margarito and Hatton after Floyd would dispatch of them. All of the sudden, they would be garbage. Give it up dude. Floyd's better than all three of them combined and there ain't a damn thing you can do about it.
ps--If you think Margarito, Hatton or Cotto are 'great' fighters I suggest you take up following another sport, as you clearly haven't got a clue about this one.
Corrales was a great fighter? To you maybe but never to me. That is your opinion not mine. I never said anything about Corrales.
I do not think too highly of Margarito but I find it very funny that PBF is afraid of him and peed on himself when Tony went up behind him and said he wanted to fight him ;D
Hatton is great at 140 and I say he smokes the pretty one in that D.
Cotto looking good in the 147 and I say he smokes PBF in that D.
But we will never know because the pretty scary one is going to retire with out proving either one of us wrong >:mad
You are entitled to your opinion and I am entitled to mine and we can make assumptions all day long but the truth is PBF is retiring ;D Thank God. We can talk more about this after his fight with Oscar. Let's see if he sticks to his word about retiring or was he just feeding his gullible fans more lies that they buy from their little king.

Boo Hoo, hoo...
I am quiting because I say I am the greatest this sport has ever seen and yet I ran from an old bum all night long because I broke a nail. People are mean to me and they booed me and they walked out before the borefest was over :'(

Mayweather after 28 professional bouts: Top 5 unanimous in every pound-4-pound ranking.

Re: How much credit will you give Floyd if he beats Oscar?
Floyd will never get credit. Like he said to Merchant after the Baldomir fight," No matter how I win, nothing is good enough, so bring on whoever! Oscar, I'll tax that a** too!" And he will, and Tony, and Cotto. Floyd will one day get KOed like Roy did, but that day isnt' coming soon.

Miguel Cotto has no contraversial decisions on his resume.
Did you forget the Castillo I fight?
You know he did not do enough to win that fight.
I call them as I see them and a robbery is a robbery.
PBF was no more deserving of winning that fight than Hatton was of winning the fight against Collazo.
That pound for pound list you are so proud of is a fake and a fraud.
Re: How much credit will you give Floyd if he beats Oscar?
PBF should and will get credit IF he beats ODLH.
Re: How much credit will you give Floyd if he beats Oscar?
I will give Floyd alot of credit. I gave him huge credit for beating Bruselles, Judah, Corrales, Chavez, most of his fighters because of the way he makes most of them look average. Now he is stepping up into a higher weight then ever before with a GREAT and i mean great boxer in ODLH. He can punch, is bigger, stronger, has quick hands, great chin. Big props are going out to Floyd if he pulls this off.
Re: How much credit will you give Floyd if he beats Oscar?
DLH is poast his prime, but that's not the point for me.
IF PBF puts on one of his usual performances where he does just enough to win and does a lot of running, I still won't be impressed. Remember, this is a guy running around saying he's the best of all time. A truly great fighter shows that they have all the tools, including heart and guts.
If Floyd looks strong at yet another weight class, shows toughness and fights hard for 12 rounds, then he will have earned my respect as one of the greats.

Maybe he meant Henry Brusseles? Ain't much difference between Margarito and Brussles

Miguel Cotto hasn't fought anyone even in JLC's class. Quintana was a good step up, Cotto is still a flawed fighter that is still learning. Floyd handed JLC his ass in the second fight. BTW, Hatton had a tough night, but I had Hatton winning the fight by a point. Decisions sometimes are controversial in close fights. Cotto is a really good prospect but slow down a bit on him, let's wait for him to fight a couple more fights at 147.
Floyd will never be given credit because while he has a good number of fans, there are an equal number of people who also hate him. I'm giving Floyd credit if he wins because I know that Floyd is a blown up light welter and he just beat a quality light middle.
Re: How much credit will you give Floyd if he beats Oscar?
Beating a great boxer credits respect of people.
Re: How much credit will you give Floyd if he beats Oscar?
Anybody who doesn't just obsessively hate him will give him credit. Would be PBF's best fight since Castillo 2.

Just wait and see.
I poured out a gallon of milk on the floor for you over here.
Bring a mop & a bucket. I've got a box of tissues here for you also...two actually.
I have no problems with a guy crying over spilt milk...but only if he cleans it up.
**If that's to cerebral for you Danny G...that's an analogy of Crying over Spilt Milk. It'll suit you when Floyd slaughters & humiliates Cotto.
