EVEN THOUGH he lost to Vazquez (in a barn-burner where he scored 2 knockdowns and was ahead on the cards)
His previous 3 fights were against well-respected and dangerous fighters
10/29/05 vs Ratanachai Sor Vorapin - Jhonny was the underdog, but just schooled him and got a 7th round TKO
2/25/06 vs. Mark "too sharp" Johnson - Jhonny picked apart the slick Johnson and finally pummeling him into retirement in the 8th round

Not really, because Castillo lost to a super young Nobuo Nashiro (who is currently 9-0) and has been inactive since.
And Montiel is going through a 10 month lay-off after losing to Gonzalez, which was his ONLY fight in 2006. I think more p4p emphasis should go on sheer activity, a guy who fights only once a year, shouldn't be on a p4p list.

Still I don't agree that you should pay tooo much attention on the 9-0 as I said before the lower weights is different ball game I mean all you gotta do is go through some records and see that most of them are fighters with about 10 to 20 fights and have been in 5 title fights or something like that.

Gonzalez could be in the top ten, but Caballero was right there for me too.
BTW Gonzalez-Penalosa is looking less likely lately. On www.fightnews.com, Gonzalez' manager says he doesn't want to risk going to the Phillipines for the fight cause he's worried about a bad decision. Would rather wait and hope to get a rematch with Vazquez or a fight with Rafael Marquez.
I could see him being nervous about going to the Phillipines but I'm not sure waiting for a big fight is the best move. Gonzalez-Ponce would be interesting, Gonzalez-Caballero too if Caballero doesn't go to 126.

Narvaez lacks quality of opposition. IMO
I don't have a problem with Rachman his last fights have been the right ones the other 60 something fights don't mean a thing. For me it's what hes done as of late the gives him the edge.
Solis falls just short! compared to some people you left out Arce, Vic for example.....
