Wladimir is not easy to hit especially by slow punching Cooney.Wladimir is far more skilled than Cooney.Wladimir has a much better shot at knocking him out than Coney would against him, not to mention Wladimir would box circles around him.

This is a good topic IMO. Cooney in his prime would have KO'd Klit IMO. Just like Corey Sanders did. Him and Sanders have a good deal in common. Both, power punchers with quick hands. Cooney would have KO'd Wladimir the way I see it.

Why do you say he is a significantly greater puncher than Wladimir?Go look at the opponents records that Cooney fought!The best guy he beat was a very old Ken Norton.He beat a lot of club fighters and lost when he stepped up.In his prime he was still fighting guys with records of 3wins and 2loses and 6wins and 2loses!Wladimir is a so much better fighter than Cooney ever was?Wladimir has always KO'd bigger guys easier than smaller guys and Cooney would be tailor made for him.Wladimir has KO'd guys with much better chins as well.

Well Wladimir has 43 KO's in 47 wins and against guys who have never been stopped before.Wladimir has faced guys much bigger than the guys Foreman faced.Foreman faced more fighters that were under 210lbs than over that.Wladimir has only faced 1 fighter under 210lbs.The majority being over 230lbs.If Wladimir was facing guys that weighed under 200lbs there is no doubt he would have KO'd them all but as it is already only 4 of his wins have gone to the scorecards.

Cooney, in my estimation, had the better chin of the two. After his devastating loss to Holmes, he spiraled into a world of drug/alcohol abuse. Even in his post-holmes state, Foreman commented that he had to stop him because he didn't think he could take another punch from Cooney.
However, I think that Klit is the better technician in the ring, and under Manny, I don't see how he would lose.
So I have mixed feelings about this match-up: Cooney after the Lyle fight...I'd say an early KO
Post-Holmes Cooney would have gotten KTFO.
